As my life recently has been a series of one horrible event after another I figured I needed to do some shit to break out of it. I started a new personal project yesterday, I am eating a bit better, I booked a tattoo appointment I have been avoiding and I am actually going to the doctors to get a check up for the first time in 15 years. On top of that I decided I should just go ahead and publish one of my favorite photo shoots of all time.

I don’t know why I have been holding on to this for so long but this shoot I did with Raven Rockette at the abandoned Rock-A-Hoola Water Park is pretty fucking amazing. The funny thing is I already posted a shoot I did with Raven that was taken AFTER this one. I guess I was just holding it for a special occasion and this is it.

A few years ago I saw this skate video that was shot at this amazing abandoned waterpark and I knew I needed to shoot there. I looked the place up and I saw that it was right on the drive from LA to Vegas. I had passed it dozens of times and didn’t notice somehow. It also is right by Route 66 where I spent 17 days working on my first book, but yet somehow I had never heard of it before this skate video.

I was in LA for my brother’s 30th birthday and I ended up getting a gig working for Sailor Jerry at the Viva Las Vegas car show and so I hit up Raven Rockette because I knew she lived in Vegas. I pitched her on the Rock-A-Hoola idea and she was really into it so the day after Viva Las Vegas we drove half way back to LA until we came to this amazing artifact of urban decay.

It was a bit sketchy once we pulled up and realized there wasn’t any hiding the car. It was either just park it along the road or drive back in there and try to hide it behind a building or something. You could still see the car from the highway and there would be no escaping if a cop pulled up. Even once you were inside in most places it would be easy to see the naked girl and photographer walking around the abandoned water park.

We were also pretty nervous that we would run into other people but we never did. We explored for nearly an hour and I took photos of her in the empty lazy river ride, up top where the highest waterslides used to be and even climbing on to buildings that have been closed since 2004.

The whole thing was an amazing experience with an amazing model and I think Raven and I killed it. I am usually pretty underwhelmed with my work but this is one of my favorite shoots of all time. And I really hope you guys dig it as much as I did.

As per usual I held back a few of the slightly more explicit shots for Girls of Driven By Boredom. You’d think a party with more nudity than a strip club would have been less violent. When I walked into the Rookery last night for the first annual Boobs of Bushwick party the first person I saw was bleeding from the face. Hours later, BoB’s own Kate Chip had her nose broken by a lady who was for some reason defending a dude calling people sluts which is the least chill thing ever especially at a party about boobs. Despite the drama the party was fucking awesome and very few people had shirts.

If you didn’t see my Boobs of Bushwick Bar Crawl photos, BoB is a Tumblr started by Chip that features Kate’s friends boobs in random bars around Bushwick. As someone who loves both public nudity and all boobs I am a huge supporter of the blog. It’s a equal opportunity blog with as many dudes as women but there’s no political statement or anything. Anyway, Boobs of Bushwick threw it’s first annual party last night and I got to play both photographer and host to the thing and I brought out a ton of scumbags and took a lot of photos. My dude Prince Terrence played music as did DJ DLNGR.  The party was packed all night and the topless lady to creepy dude with camera phone was slightly better than you would expect. I had a blast.

Tomorrow Tuesday the 3rd I am throwing a party with Boobs of Bushwick at the Rookery in Bushwick Brooklyn. You need to come to it because it should be a wild time.

Okay, now let’s back up. I met Kate Chip at the Dinner With Igor book release party. Prince Terrence was DJing and told me I had to meet her because she runs a Tumblr called Boobs of Bushwick and she had her shirt off before I could even say hi. Clearly we have common interests.

I checked out the Tumblr and I was all about it. Kate asked me to be involved in the first annual Boobs of Bushwick party and of course I said yes. Prince Terry was DJing and the Rookery is pretty near my apartment and there will be boobs so how could I say no?

I then came up with an idea of how we could promote the party! We would do a Boobs of Bushwick bar crawl! Kate grabbed a bunch of her friends including two of my old friends and we all met at the Rookery. From there we walked to The Bodega and then to Montana’s Trail Bar and then ended up at Tandem to end the night.

I took a ton of topless photos in the bars and outside and it was so fucking cold out that we had to run out, shoot and run back in. It was a lot of fun anyway. Even some random stranger at Tandem got involved. It was kinda great.

Anyway, it is totally legal to be topless in NYC and while we could probably get in trouble for promoting it or being topless in a bar I think it’s a pretty good excuse to get topless and drunk at the same time. So come to the Rookery tomorrow and drink booze and take your clothes off and I will take photos of you unless you don’t want me to. Whatever the case if you are a dude try not to be creepy but you can be topless too. All manor of boobs are welcome!

Jenna Valentine is one of my favorite humans and I am glad I got to shoot her again even if it was really quickly and in the middle of nowhere.

I met Jenna though Gods Girls and I got to shoot her at the Gods Girls lair and then again we shot in the back yard of my buddy Tom’s house. This time I had to shoot her at a truck stop in between LA and Vegas.

I happened to be in LA and Vegas a few months ago and I hit Jenna up about shooting again. She was also going to be in LA and Vegas but on opposite days. We realized we would actually be on the road at the exact same time so we made plans to meet at the first exit in Nevada and we shot behind Whiskey Pete’s casino!

It was insanely windy and super sunny out. Jenna has long hair and insanely fair skin. This meant we only had a few minutes to shoot before she would catch on fire and that her hair was going to be everywhere. We also got caught by some people in the parking lot but they seemed to appreciate Jenna as much as I do.

Jenna’s boobs are magical and she is a babe so the photos were easy to bang out really quick and then she bought me a burrito and we continued on with our adventures. It was a great break on a long boring drive.

A new episode of Road Strip came out last week! It’s one of the best ones yet and stars Ash Hollywood. It’s really fun and in it we go to the Grand Canyon. I had never been to the Grand Canyon and it was really foggy and rainy and I was worried it wouldn’t be amazing because it was so cloudy. Turns out a big hole in the ground is fucking amazing no matter what the weather is like. Seriously, it was as impressive as people say it is. Plus the rain allowed for a bunch of public nudity!

We didn’t have to walk far to get away from people, but as we shot we could hear people walking the trail a few feet from us. We also could see people across from us the whole time we shot. If they just looked over they could have easily seen us. It was a lot of fun. I even made Ash take photos of me to send my mom.

The video has a lot of other public nudity in it and some hotels that look like tee-pees and another giant hole and a bunch of other fun stuff, but the Grand Canyon is certainly the highlight and I have all the pictures for you to check out too! I already uploaded em to the DBB Girls app in high res, but if you are impoverished and can’t afford my app they are here too now.

In other news my Dinner With Igor book Kickstarter is about $200 from where it needs to be for me to break even and not lose money so that fucking rules. I was hoping to post my new book Kickstarter today but apparently I am having issues convincing Amazon Payments that my LLC actually exists and now I have to find a fax machine to fax them tax documents because the largest e-commerce website in the world employees a technology that has been out of date for twenty years.

But my problems are your windfall as I now have to post some naked photos instead. It’s only fair right? The other day I shot this girl River Stark who has done very little nude modeling but was a delight to shoot. I was introduced to her by a friend several hours before she was leaving NYC to head back to her home in NOLA and she came over to my apartment around midnight before her red eye flight.

We didn’t have a place to shoot so we just took to the streets and shot a bunch of public topless stuff because #freethenipple and all of that… or just because you can be topless in public in NYC and neither of us really felt like getting arrested. We didn’t shoot very long so it’s a pretty small set but I think there are some nice photos in there anyway. River is a babe and she has amazing boobs so I think you will be psyched no matter what.

She has almost no web presence as a sexy model but you can go follow her on Instagram after creeping on all her photos. Oh, and the photos are available in high resolution on my Girls of Driven By Boredom app!

Lastly, I just wanted to apologize to the 20 or so girls waiting for their sets to go up… Rivers just lucked out because her set was super short and on the same roll with some photos I was already editing. I swear your photos will go up one day!

Hi guys, this is Alex. She is a total babe. I met her a couple years ago through a mutual babe friend. We quickly decided we should do a photo shoot at Coney Island but then it didn’t happen that summer, or the next summer… most people would have given up, but when it comes to photographing cute ladies I am relentless and it finally paid off!

Several weeks ago Alex finally had some free time and we took the train down to Coney Island. I had some expired film that I wanted to experiment so we took a few photos on the train. They didn’t come out very well but I included two of them in this set. I then put a roll of black and white film in my SLR camera and had new color film in my point and shoot. I ended up shooting three or four rolls of color, a full roll of black and white and the end of the expired roll. In all I ended up with a nice gallery of 35mm photos of Alex that I think you are going to dig.

As soon as we got off the train we went directly to Nathan’s Famous because a trip to Coney Island without a Nathan’s hot dog is sacrilegious. From there we hit the beach and it was pretty funny to see Alex in her bikini walking around with me wearing all black and boots on the sand. Some teenage boys wanted to know if she was a famous model and if they could take pictures with her.

From there we clearly hit some rides… first the Cyclone because it’s the best roller coster in the world. It’s completely terrifying and at least three people have died on it in my lifetime. Our best photo opportunity came on the Wonder Wheel and we shot a few topless shots on there which makes it the fourth ferris wheel in one calendar year that I photographed someone topless on – Navy Pier in Chicago, City Museum in St. Louis and Santa Monica Pier in CA round out the list.

After that we grabbed some funnel cake and some absurd drinks, got Alex topless on the boardwalk and finally headed home. It was a really day and I got some nice photos of an awesome babe that I have been trying to photograph for ages. Hopefully another two years won’t go by before I get to photograph her again. Thanks for the adventure Alex!

What’s this? Back to back babe posts? First Shay Laren and now another of my all time models Charlotte Stokely?! I didn’t plan it like this but the new episode of Road Strip went up yesterday and it’s my favorite one so far so I had to let you guys know all about it and celebrate the episode with a bunch of mostly unpublished 35mm photos of Charlotte Stokely from my Route 66 trip!

If you aren’t aware somehow, I went on a 31 day road trip last summer. The first 17 days were spent traveling Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. I made a sold out book out of it and shot a TON of pictures. To help pay for the trip I shot a sexy and educational road trip series for Wood Rocket called Road Strip!

For three days of the trip Charlotte Stokely came with me. I picked her up in St. Louis and she flew home to Oklahoma City. Some of the best stuff of the trip happened with her and it looks like Wood Rocket is making three episodes out of it. The first one came out a month ago but it was pretty much just a teaser for the epicness that is this episode.

In this episode we go to the St. Louis Zoo an amazing wild animal sanctuary in Staunton, MO. We also go to the Catoosa Blue Whale which is a huge Route 66 highlight for me. And then the episode ends with some pretty explicit video of Charlotte in the shower which I actually shot for her website and really need to send her since it’s been over a year and both of us keep forgetting about it. I am adding that to my to do list right now Stokely!
