Many years ago I got to photograph Andy San Dimas for the first time. I went over to her place and we shot on the roof of her apartment in Los Angeles. It was very hot and very bright and theoretically anyone could have come up at any moment so we had to shoot fairly quickly. Andy is such a babe but I didn’t realize that it was going to become one of my favorite sets ever. Andy loved it too and she told me that she once met a serious boyfriend because he contacted her after seeing the pictures.

After we shot we went into her bedroom and shot an intentionally amateur looking set that was supposed to end up as a “DIY” set on Gods Girls. I shot the set mostly with my on camera flash which makes it look like it was shot by just a “guy with camera” as they say in the business (of creepy dudes like myself photographing naked girls).

The set was also a lot more explicit than I normally shoot. Andy was rolling around her bed and I was shooting the kinda stuff I would shoot if I was photographing someone for “personal use”. The whole thing came out looking like some really sexy homemade porn. I have no idea why it never ended up on Gods Girls but I think I just forgot about it.

I knew I could never post it on my site because it didn’t look even slightly professional and it was much more graphic than anything I would publish here. Fortunately I have an app and I have been posting some of the more hardcore outtakes on there and this seemed like the perfect place for this set. I am really glad I found it when looking through old photos!

On Tuesday Spank Rock released his new EP The Upside at Baby’s All Right. Spank Rock as always put on an awesome show and you can get The Upside right here. It’s amazing that Spank Rock isn’t one of the biggest names in music. He constantly puts out great music and has a great live show. Plus my dude Johnny Nelson is his hype man and Amanda Blank rules as well.

My old friend Contessa Suto aka Cunt Mafia opened the show with Lil Internet and put on the supremely weird and wild show she is becoming known for. She played half the set topless and had people moshing to her “trap metal” jams like Reign In Ratchet. Even if you hate Cunt Mafia’s music the show is very worth seeing.

Roxy Cottontail, Mike Q, Blue Jemz & Eli Escobar DJ’d the after party but unfortunately I got some pretty shitty news right after the show so I had to bounce early. I didn’t really feel like partying after that. But even with the shitty news it was a fun night and I got to see a lot of people I hadn’t seen in ages.

I met Asphyxia Noir years ago when I picked her up at a bus station in Vegas as a favor to the Burning Angel crew while they were trying to organize a party they threw during the AVN Award weekend. I ended up shooting her in a bathroom at that party with Skin Diamond and then years later I shot the two of them again right after the AVN Awards. I really loved that post-AVN shoot but I still wanted to shoot Asphyxia on her own.

Luckily a few months ago I got the chance. I was in LA and I hit Asphyxia up and we made plans for a sunrise set but it’s hard to get anyone awake at 5am so I had a feeling it wasn’t going to work out. I called her to wake her up and she told me she was sick. I figured she was just flaking on me because it was super early but I was happy to go to sleep anyway. Later that day she hit me up and told me she could shoot so I met up with her and it was immediately clear that she didn’t flake on me. She really was sick.

Despite her being reasonably close to death the shoot turned out really well. Asphyxia is such a rad model and easy to shoot even though she would get dizzy every time she held a pose for too long. She had a dress she wanted to rip up and we spent about 20 minutes destroying the thing. Usually something like this would be a bit contrived for me but Asphyxia killed it.

At some point she could barely stand up but we still took some bonus dirty shots that are exclusively available on the Girls of Driven By Boredom app (all in high resolution!) and then I let her finally go back to sleep.

In conclusion, Asphyxia rules, she didn’t die and her boobs are so rad it makes me cry a single tear every time I think of them.

This is it – the last episode of Road Strip! It’s been over a year since I returned from my 18 day Route 66 road trip and over a year since the book of my adventures came out. But the web series created from my journey kept the fun alive for more than a dozen episodes. That ends today. The 13th and final episode is finally out!

If you haven’t seen all (or any) of the very NSFW Road Strip web series, start at the beginning and watch the whole insane journey from Detroit to LA. (Route 66 actually starts in Chicago but it was way cheaper to rent a car in the Motor City.)

Thanks to all the models… Dixie Comet, Caprice Capone, Sidney Scarlett, Theresa Manchester, Charlotte Stokely, Annalee Belle, Ash Hollywood, Angel Beau, Coco Velvett and Miss Crash! And an even bigger thanks to Leeroy Meyers and the Wood Rocket crew for helping me fund this insane adventure and buying this super amateur web series from me. It’s pretty clear that I have no idea what I am doing video-wise but I think in the end these things came out pretty well.

The final episode features a day at the beach with Miss Crash. We drove down to the technical ending of Route 66 which is not at all marked before heading down to the ceremonial ending, the Santa Monica Pier. We got her naked in a Ferris Wheel (for the third time on my trip!) and then took her under the board walk for a few more photos. After I went back to her place and we shot a mini set that is available exclusively on the Girls of DBB app.

It was a pretty great day and a great end to my Route 66 trip and a nice ending to the Road Strip series!

I try to get to the Exxxotica porn convention in NJ every year at least for a few hours. It’s a good chance to see a bunch of my LA porn friends on the east coast. Usually I just snap a few pictures, hang out with some friends and maybe meet some new girls that I could photograph. It’s pretty casual.

This year was a bit different because I brought my friend Pinky Guest who went to Antiques Roadshow with me. She wrote two articles for the Village Voice including this hilarious holiday gift guide about the weird things one can buy at Exxxotica NJ.

The last item on her gift guide happens to be the creepy highlight of my Exxxotica. My friend Sydney Leathers is a lovely human who also happens to be a fame whore who made headlines when she published sexts from Anthony Wiener. She then made a porn film called Wiener and Me and made headlines again when she brought Vice Magazine to her labiaplasty. The final piece in the PR stunt puzzle was to put her removed labium on eBay!

Unfortunately (or in my case fortunately!) eBay took down her auction because apparently you aren’t allowed so sell human body parts. Fortunately for me it’s legal to give people your human body parts! I randomly was talking to Facebook about how I have a creepy collection of dead things in jars and she told me I could have her labium. She just wanted it out of her apartment. I realize it’s insanely creepy to be as excited as I am about getting part of a vagina in a jar but I totally am.

So yeah, it was great seeing my porn friends and I had fun with Pinky photographing weird stuff for sale at the convention, but honestly nothing could top owning an infamous labium! Thanks Sydney!

Jenna Valentine is one of my favorite humans and I am glad I got to shoot her again even if it was really quickly and in the middle of nowhere.

I met Jenna though Gods Girls and I got to shoot her at the Gods Girls lair and then again we shot in the back yard of my buddy Tom’s house. This time I had to shoot her at a truck stop in between LA and Vegas.

I happened to be in LA and Vegas a few months ago and I hit Jenna up about shooting again. She was also going to be in LA and Vegas but on opposite days. We realized we would actually be on the road at the exact same time so we made plans to meet at the first exit in Nevada and we shot behind Whiskey Pete’s casino!

It was insanely windy and super sunny out. Jenna has long hair and insanely fair skin. This meant we only had a few minutes to shoot before she would catch on fire and that her hair was going to be everywhere. We also got caught by some people in the parking lot but they seemed to appreciate Jenna as much as I do.

Jenna’s boobs are magical and she is a babe so the photos were easy to bang out really quick and then she bought me a burrito and we continued on with our adventures. It was a great break on a long boring drive.

Last time I was in LA I met up with some New Yorkers who were in town for the Support, Therapy & Instability LA book release and one of them grabbed me and said “This is Ivy. She used to live in NYC. Get her naked.” Within five minutes of talking to her we had planned to take some naked photos. These are the friends I like to have.

The next day I went over to the Superchief LA headquarters to check out their space. I had some photos in their first LA art show and they were still up. I was shooting the shit with them when I realized I didn’t have a place to shoot Ivy yet. Fortunately Superchief was down to let me shoot there and we all had a bunch of fun watching Ivy skateboard topless and climb ladders and stuff.

Later we went out on the roof to shoot some more but the sun was setting and it was setting in the wrong direction. I decided I needed to shoot there at sunrise so two days later I photographed Raven Rockette up there but sadly it was so overcast we didn’t even get to take advantage of the great light.

Whatever the case these shots of Ivy are a lot of fun. She has done some nude modeling but not a ton so it’s fun to shoot people who haven’t been broken by a million shitty photographers. She also has a weirdly devoted fan base and very little content out there so I am sure they are going to really dig these photos.

It should be pointed out that Ivy is kinda awesome as a human, so much so that I actually brought her to my shoot with Alex Chance (coming soon!) later in the day. Alex loved her too and I took a few photos of them together for my Tumblr. I can’t wait to get back to LA and shoot Ivy again and get into weird adventures.

The penultimate episode of my Route 66 web series Road Strip came out yesterday almost exactly a year after I released my Route 66 book Get Your Kicks. It stars Coco Velvett and Angel Beau. After the last episode I had to drop Ash Hollywood off in Vegas, which isn’t on Route 66 but only a few hours north. I had been staying in terrible motels for the last two weeks so I decided I would take a quick break at a nice hotel in Vegas and hang out in the pool for two days.

I hit up my pal Angel and she happened to be hanging out with Coco who I had been trying to photograph for years but shit kept not working out. I shot both of them in my hotel room and then we hung out at the pool all night. It was a pretty good time. I didn’t have a model planned for my last leg of Route 66 and Coco needed a ride to LA so it worked out and I took her with me.

The drive to LA is only four hours from Vegas but once we hit Barstow and got back on Route 66 the trip took a lot longer than that. We hit some cool spots like the Bottle Tree Ranch and the Wigwam Motel in San Bernardino and I also shot her at the World’s Tallest Thermometer in Baker which while not on Route 66 is still one of my favorite roadside attractions.

The shoot I did with Coco I decided to make exclusively available on the Girls of Driven By Boredom app. It’s a small set to begin with and some of the images are a bit graphic for this site, so I just uploaded everything in high resolution to the app. So you need it if you want to see the pictures. Also, there are a bunch of unpublished photos of Coco and Angel in the super limited What Happens in Vegas photo album print series I did.

Once again I photographed another zombie crawl. I keep telling myself that I am going to stop taking photos of zombies, yet I keep going to these things. I mean how many photos of zombies can you possibly take? But they again they are always fun to look at…

NYC Zombie Crawl does two crawls a year, on in Brooklyn during the summer and one in Manhattan around Halloween. This year the Manhattan version happened around the NY Comic Con. It was a bit rainy and Comic Con stuff was still going on so when I got to Twins Pub the crawl seemed under attended but as the zombies walked up 8th avenue new zombies kept joining the hoard.

The zombies headed to Times Scare for some zombie burlesque from the Peek-A-Boo Review but right outside the bar NYC Zombie Crawl leader Doug Sakmann got detained by police after he climbed a sign post directly above a police check point. Fortunately he only got a ticket and the crawl was just mildly delayed.

After the burlesque a ton of zombies had joined up and they headed through Times Square and over to Bowlmor Lanes for the after party. A bunch of bands played and Disgraceland Hook Squad & Family Sideshow did horrible things that you might not want to look at if you are squeamish. The sound sucked at the venue which was a bummer because I was pretty excited for Murder One and Girls Girls Girls who are Motorhead and Motley Crue tribute bands. I am a pretty huge Motorhead fan and Motley Crue was probably my favorite band when I was 11. Luckily I have seen Motorhead a half dozen times and I think I am shooting Motley Crue’s last NYC show later this month.

Danse De Sade, Gash and The Deafening played as well. Danse De Sade were super creepy and featured a half naked lady which I appreciate. She got my card and we talked about taking photos at some point and I wouldn’t hate that. Gash were pretty punk rock which I enjoy and their front lady was badass. The Deafening also feature a badass front woman, Lena Hall, who won a Tony Award for her roll in Hedwig & The Angry Inch on Broadway. She was awesome and sang on the bar, made out with audience members and poured beer all over everything which is pretty much exactly what I do when I front a band except that she can sign her ass off as well.
