I have spent my career refusing to photograph weddings, but sometimes I go to weddings and I always have my camera on me so I sometimes take pictures. A couple weeks ago I went to Prince Terrence’s wedding in Vegas and of course took some photos along the way. He got married to video director, bad ass babe and baby momma Bijoux Altamirano and it was a great time.

In less awesome news apparently my Contax T2 broke and most of the photos I took came out terrible. I got 8 rolls back the other day and the six rolls I shot on the T2 were mostly usable because of horrible light leaks and one of the other rolls was scratched somehow. Fucking wonderful.

That being said I decided to upload a gallery of 20 whole photos from the vVgas weekend because there’s nudity and their adorable two year old (Happy birthday Angel!) and people like looking at stuff like that even if the photos aren’t that awesome.

So yeah the first night was Terry’s bachelor party which was also Bijoux’ bachelorette party at the same time. Our buddy (and reality show judge) Chris Santos couldn’t make it so he got Terry hooked up with a bottle at Hakkasan which is kinda hilarious because everyone at the wedding was a too cool for school hipster and we just drank the bottle and got the fuck out of there and on to a strip club where we were waaay more out of place.

Honestly going to Sapphire with a bunch of people wearing skinny jeans and all black everything was kinda hilarious. After Terry’s best man Brad (from this band) somehow talked the strip club into giving us a free $600 bottle we all just sat there uncomfortably drinking free booze. I think other than a couple of ones (and tipping our waitress) we didn’t spend a penny. I explained to one of the girls that I have dated way too many strippers to feel comfortable getting hustled for money. She just gave me her number and told me she wanted me to take her photo next time she was in NYC.

After that I won $200 playing penny slots, Brad lost like $500 betting on black over and over again (he had his reasons) and then we stayed up until 7am eating horrible food. By the time I went to sleep I hadn’t slept in 48 hours. Good times.

The next day they got married at the absurd drive-thru wedding chapel that Joan Collins and Michael Jordan got married at (although apparently not to each other). Britney Spears also got married there which I was reminded of at least a dozen times throughout the wedding. They didn’t get married by an Elvis impersonator but there was one hanging out and they did play Elvis during the wedding which I appreciated.

The wedding reception was held at Shake Shack because of course and then we gambled more and Brad made half his money back betting on black three more times in a row while I lost about $150 of my earlier winnings playing an Ellen Degeneres slot machine which seemed like the can’t miss move. Apparently her slots are not as loose as I hoped.

I was in Las Vegas for a few days and now I am in LA and I haven’t really had any time to sit in front of a computer but I wanted to get something up for you guys. Being in LA reminded me that I had a bunch of photos of Aria Alexander and I think you should look at them.

I met Aria Alexander after someone told me that my favorite agent in porn, Mark Spiegler, had a new girl that looked like she could be Lily LaBeau’s sister. Lily, as you may know, is one of my favorite models ever so I had to shoot her porn sister. Spiegler introduced us and a few months later we got to take photos at my ex lady Kimberly Kane’s new place that had some really lovely light. Thanks KK!

Happy Halloween, etc. I spent Saturday night photographing Rated X for the first time since 2009! Rated X was the first party in NYC I shot at and one of the main reasons I became an event photographer. When I moved to NYC in 2006 I had some friends visiting and we went to Rated X and I took some photos of them, and some other people at the party and people kept asking me what my website was. Cobrasnake and Last Night’s Party were just getting popular and everyone thought I was a party photographer too. I wasn’t but a few weeks later I was. Whoops.

Anyway, Rated X ended way back in 2009 so I was pretty excited about the return of Michael T’s legendary party. It wasn’t quite the same (nothing in NYC is) but with Michael T Djing it was the same music and I ran into a bunch of old timers and I had a great time anyway.

Rated X was always full of nudity and madness. I cannot tell you how many girls I made out with at that party and how many naked photos I posted from that party. The most graphic image I think I have ever posted on this site was a girl sucking a dick on the dance floor way back when Rated X was at Luke & Leroy’s. You got two for one drinks if you checked your pants at the door. No one seemed to do this on Saturday but with the return of the Hot Body Contest I knew it would be wild.

Peppermint Gummybear came back to host the infamous Hot Body Contest and there were a bunch of people down for the contest but unfortunately most of those people hadn’t been to Rated X back in the day where people would get completely naked and basically fuck each other on stage. Wild times. This contest was a bit more PG-13 but there was some nudity anyway and it’s good to see that NYC night life can still get weird.

Long story short is I hope there are more Rated X’s in the future cause I had a ton of fun even if I had to be in the city on the weekend like a fucking amateur.

I am leaving town for the weekend and then I have an oppressively busy week next week so I might not get a chance to update again for a while so I figured I would leave you with something good. No, I take that back, I am leaving you with something great.

Over a year ago I took two of my favorite models ever, April O’Neil and Shay Laren to Murphy’s Ranch near Malibu, CA. I had read about it on one of those “abandoned places” lists and could not wait to try and shoot there. It took some searching and a lot of hiking but we finally got there and took some amazing photos of some really hot ladies.

But first, let’s talk about Murphy’s Ranch. Murphy’s Ranch was a compound for American Nazi sympathizers during WWII. They had this idea that they would hide out in the middle of the mountains in what is now Topanga State Park until after the Nazi’s won the war. The whole thing didn’t go super well for them and the US Government raided the compound the day after Pearl Harbor. In the 60’s some hippies lived there in a commune but a forest fire chased them out and it has been abandoned ever sense. There is now dispute between LA County and the CA State Parks over who should own the land. Although it is in the border of Tapenga State Park, the CA Park Service won’t take it until LA County gets rid of the structures that still stand there, but because it’s so hard to get to it would cost millions to deal with the compound. So now it is a technically off limits part of LA County but it’s a fairly popular hiking trail and apparently a big hit for crossfit assholes.

So between hiding from hikers, smoking teenagers and another photoshoot we took some really fun photos and it just happens that the photos were of unreasonably hot women so it works out really well. On top of that we took a LOT of photos so this gallery is only about half the images! I will have solo galleries of both April and Shay coming in the future so get really excited about that too.

Despite this being one of my favorite shoots ever, it has taken way too long for me to publish these. Sometimes when I take photos I am really excited about I just hold on to them for way too long although the few 35mm photos I have posted have been a huge hit. I even included a two page spread of them in Fuck LA.

So yeah, go look at these photos right now. I posted them yesterday on Girls of Driven By Boredom and Girls of DBB has some extra slightly more dirty shots as well. I am sure you won’t be too upset about that.

Wanted to start off the week with something good and I had these new Ivy Diamond photos already edited so it seems like like a perfect time to hit you with them. I shot these on the same day as the Chanel Preson photos so I edited them at the same time.

Everyone seems to love photos of Ivy. Last time we shot they were a big hit and a bunch of people signed up for Girls of Driven By Boredom to see the exclusive roof top set I posted on there. This time there aren’t any Girls of DBB exclusives but all the photos over there are twice the resolution. Just saying.

Anyway, Ivy and I shot at Griffith Park in LA. In NYC I am always running out of locations but in LA you can just go find a hiking trail and get girls naked outside. Plus the photos are always super pretty which is nice if you are into that sort of thing.

Hey it’s Monday and after I spent 3 days at the NY Art Book Fair and yesterday dealing with the pain that is my Miami Dolphins fandom it’s time to start fresh with a new week. It’s possible I ate two entire pizzas last night and today it’s time to catch up on a bunch of work and perhaps force myself to eat a salad.

With that in mind, let’s drop a bunch of stuff on you real quick.  Got some new naked photos, some weird music and of course I gotta try and sell you some zines again. Let’s start with the zines…

I spent Thursday night and most of Friday and Saturday at the New York Art Book Fair. As both a creator and consumer of photo books the NY Art Book Fair is pretty much my favorite thing ever. I get to look at so much rad shit, buy a bunch of rare books and zines and hopefully make more money than I spend. It’s also a good networking opportunity. Last year I met Mike Krim who runs Paper Work NYC and this year he let me sell my stuff at his booth. Last year I met fucked up illustrators Matt Crabe and Wizard Skull and this year I am just finishing a zine collaboration with them and a bunch of other artists many of whom I ran into at the book fair. Oh, did I mention that there are so many real cute girls there who also make really cool shit? What could be better than that?

The zine fair went pretty awesome and I actually stayed real close to my budget a picked up some stuff that I am really happy with. I also think I sold a bunch of stuff, I don’t have the exact totals but I think I made more than I spent so high five. But I do know I have some copies of my new zine Same Old City left still so they are now for sale in my Etsy store and will ship pretty much right away. I just mailed off all the pre orders. Next up, let’s talk babes. A really long time ago I shot my friend Caitlin. She had done some modeling for her roommates art projects but I was the first person to photograph her professionally. We took a bunch of photos and even though she’s kinda awkward it was a good kinda awkward and I think we got some really pretty photos. I posted a few to my Tumblr and stuff and then totally forgot about the set. Last week I found the set and realized I had never posted it. It had been a while so I hit her up about the photos and she didn’t really want them on my website which is totally fair. I love shooting new models, but there’s always a risk that they are gonna change their mind about the photos and I always respect that even though it can be really disappointing. Luckily we came to a compromise. I told her I wouldn’t post any more of the nude ones on my site, but she said I could publish them to Girls of Driven By Boredom. That way the images aren’t just floating about the internet for free and you gotta at least spend some money to see them. Seems like a reasonable compromise.

The last thing in this way too long post is a weird one. I got a bunch of my Miami Dolphins vinyl collection online. The Dolphins may have been embarrassed yesterday but I will never be embarrassed by my collection of some of the weirdest records to ever be released. I have what I assume is the world’s largest collection of Miami Dolphins themed vinyl and my plan is to eventually build a website with all of my collection on it but for now I started a Sound Cloud with just the singles. If you are a fan of football, record collecting or just absurd 70s and 80s nostalgia you need to check this out.

In January I met Chanel Preston at the AVN Awards. She is unreasonably pretty and seemed real cool and stuff and I somehow convinced her to let me take photos of her next time I was in LA. So of course when I got to LA a few months later she was one of the first people I hit up.

Part of my convincing her to shoot with me was that it would be the easiest photo shoot she ever did. Her argument was “porn bitches are lazy” and mine was “it will take 15 minutes and I will try not to make you move much”. Aside from me asking her to stand up a couple of times she didn’t even have to get off her couch. I think it worked out pretty well for everyone.

She was doing her nails when I got to her place and so I just started shooting while she kept doing them. I kinda have a foot phobia but I know there are plenty of you creeps out there into that thing so I took some shots of her painting her toenails before moving on to her finger nails and then attempting to get out of her dress without using her fingers. Ice coffee was also involved somehow.

In conclusion, Chanel is a total babe who makes really cute faces and I did a pretty awesome set of her in less than 20 minutes and she didn’t really have to get off the couch. High fives for everyone.

For a while I was spending hours a day going through every photo I have ever taken but at some point I stopped. I think I just got busy or something but the other day I started the project up again. The idea is to pull all my favorite images of all time into one place so it’s easier to find stuff and easier to put together some sort of portfolio page which I don’t actually have. I finally finished 2011 so I wanted to give you guys some of the highlights.

2011 was a good year. It was the first year I started working for Sailor Jerry and I got to shoot a bunch of fun stuff for them back when we were doing music festivals almost every weekend it seems. Lolapalooza, Fun Fun Fun and Voodoo Fest were some of the highlights. I had a Ryan Gosling/ Big Freedia photo go viral at Fun Fun Fun and an Odd Future set at Voodoo made national news after they attacked some photographers and I decided to defend them.

Lots of other great festivals that year including the first Four Knots festival, Mad Decent Block Party and of course SXSW. I photographed an Insane Clown Posse cruise and went to the Kentucky Derby with Prince Terry & Dances With White Girls. I was on stage for Wu-Tang and shot Slayer for the first time and spent more time with Major Lazer, TV On The Radio and the Black Lips than is reasonable. I shot Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears and I even shot a Sweet 16 party that Usher showed up at.

2011 was the year of Occupy Wall Street and I photographed the party at Ground Zero when Osama Bin Laden was finally killed.

I went on a cross country road trip with someone I had met twice. I photographed the woman that I would date for two years for the first time. I started a punk band and photographed babes in our t-shirts. I went to Art Basel and the AVN Awards and photographed a ton of naked women everywhere.

Honestly I am getting bored of writing this but there are a lot of celebrities and naked people and the general madness you might expect from my blog. Just go look at the pictures. There are a LOT of them. NSFW obviously.

Last night another infamous New York bar shut it’s doors. After 23 years in the Meatpacking District Hogs & Heifers is gone. I only went there a handful of times because when I moved to NYC 9 years ago the Meatpacking District was already a shit show of rich douchebags and tourists hitting bottle service clubs but when Hogs & Heifers opened it’s doors the neighborhood looked a lot different. Hogs was a rowdy bar where the half naked bartenders would dance on the bar, steal bras and scream at people on a megaphone for any and all reasons.

The bar was home to bikers and cops and firemen and drunks and union construction workers who were building the west side of NYC into the horror show of luxury development it is now. Eventually it became a tourist attraction after it was surrounded by hotels and art galleries and nightclubs. Tourists could walk in there any night of the week and slum it with scumbags and have a wild time while the bartenders fleeced them for whatever they could take.

While I wasn’t a huge fan of the bar I was honored to be there for their last night. The security kept the douche bags out and the evening was surprisingly low key considering the shit show it usually is. That’s not to say things didn’t get wild last night, but there was as much crying and hugging as there was puking and fucking. There aren’t a lot of bars that last over 20 years in NYC and it’s closing it was another reminder that this city is not the city that everyone dreams of before they move here.

But last night was one of those real New York moments where you get a glimpse of what New York was once upon a time. There were people of nearly every age and race and background there and they were all singing along to Frank Sinatra and Johnny Cash. I met old drunks and Jersey bikers and twenty something hipsters and dozens of those real New York characters you see in old Law & Order episodes. It was a fairly magical night.

Oh, and there were a lot of hot half naked women dancing on bars. With all my waxing poetic I forgot why you came to my website for a second… Don’t worry – there are boobs to be seen.

RIP Hogs & Heifers and fuck all the real estate developers who are cashing in on the culture they are destroying. (Except, of course, for Stephen Ross because he owns my favorite football team.)
