Apparently it’s Thursday so I guess this can be a “Throwback Thursday” post. Whatever the case it’s another addition of my “Best of” posts. I have spent way too much time of my life organizing every photo I’ve ever taken and I done with another yet. 2015 is in the books. Fortunately I’ve also pretty much finished 2016 too. I am getting dangerously closed to being organized.

2015 was a terrible year for me and it featured the single worst day of my life where I got served with a lawsuit on the way into my good friend DJ Jess’ funeral. On the way home I got into a car accident. A few weeks later I broke up with my girlfriend and got into a second car accident. Months of depression followed and honestly my photography suffered from it as well. My back has been fucked up from the (first) car accident as well. When I was going through some of these galleries I just kept thinking about how much worse they were than stuff I shot previously. It’s really weird how my personal state of being could impact my work so drastically.

That being said there are still some highlights. I am currently figuring out how I am going to make it to another Gathering of the Juggalos, and when going through that stuff from 2015 I realized it might have been some of my best ever juggalo coverage. I shot a record cover for one of my favorite bands. I shot some great portraits at SXSW. I had some work in an art show in LA. I got my head shaved my a 90’s teen icon at an Empire Records party. I covered some quality nerd stuff like NY Comic Con and a Bronies watch party. I shot my friend Eaddy’s band Ho99o9 a bunch of times. I shot some fun stuff for Sailor Jerry as always and the Fool’s Gold Day Off is always fun. Oh, and I had a book release party for my second book Dinner With Igor.

On the naked lady side I shot some decent stuff over the year. I really liked the shoot I did of Ava Dalush at AVN and these photos I took of Chanel Preston. I met Carter Cruise in 2015 and we did two photo shoots in LA and then she came to NYC and bought us matching NSFW tattoos for my birthday. I also met my friend January Seraph in 2015. She reached out to me when she read about my depression and after we shot together we became really close friends. Unfortunately we lost her to depression last year.  I shot my friend Lucy Everleigh for the first time in 2016 (it was her first ever shoot!) . I don’t love the photos we shot but she’s a good friend of mine now so that rules. And lastly I should mention the shoot I did with my friend Erica. It wasn’t naked but she is one of my favorite humans and I’ve known her forever and I love the photos we made. Plus she just had a baby a few days ago which is adorable. 

I also found a few unpublished shoots from 2015. I found a second shoot I did with Ava Dalush that I already edited and posted on Girls of Driven By Boredom over two years ago, but apparently forgot to post on here. I also found a really fun shoot I did with Jenna J. Ross (that I just posted on Girls of DBB today) that I have no idea how I lost. And of course I found the Kaya & Vonka shoot I posted in my last update. I am gonna try and get the Ava & Jenna shoots up this week and try and get rid of the old photos sets ASAP. I found a few when going through 2016 as well so I might make a whole week of it. 

There are a lot more photos in here this gallery but I don’t wanna keep typing this. Lot’s of nudity and madness and famous people and I need to eat. It’s a massive gallery of nearly 300 photos and a ton of links to keep you busy. The case of the missing photos keeps getting larger. Going through photos from 2015 and so far I have found three unpublished shoots. The first one was a shoot I did with Heather Vahn in an unreasonably dark hotel room. The 35mm stuff I shot was actually really great so I forgot about the incredibly mediocre digital photos we shot. Heather is still really pretty so I figured people might want to see these photos so I threw it up on Girls of Driven By Boredom as an app exclusive set. 

The second set I found was a shoot I did with Jenna J. Ross. I actually have no idea how this one got lost. It’s a fun shoot that we shot in some sort of park in LA. She gets fully naked in public so I feel like that’s one I would have wanted to get up, but yet I never did. I edited it already and I will be getting it up sooner rather than later.

The third shoot I lost was the one you are looking at now. I shot Kaya Lin (who was Lea Hart at the time) with her real life girlfriend (at the time) Vonka Romanov for a book submission. They unfortunately didn’t make it in the book but it was months before I found out they didn’t make it and I think between the time I shot these and the time I found out they didn’t make it I just totally forgot I had never published them. Whoops.

I shot these photos in the back of my friend Tod Seelie’s place before he went and moved to LA. Tod is one of my favorite event photographers and you should probably know who he is if you don’t already. I actually have a photo of his hanging on my bedroom wall between a Tim Barber and a Ed Templeton photo. Pretty good company. 

The other thing I should mention is that Kaya and I have been talking about shooting again soon and I actually found these photos between texts with her. I texted her about a date to shoot and then I started organizing my 2015 photos and I found these before she even had time to respond. Weird coincidence.

Okay, I’ve rambled enough. Time to look at some photos. Oh, and just to plug Girls of DBB again, this set has been up there for a few day already and there’s a handful of extra photos on there that are slightly more overtly sexual than these cause you know we like to keep it classy on the main page. Right.

I met Meg Spectre for the first time when she offered to be part of the photo booth for the release party for my book Instaxxx. My friend Mel was shooting the photo booth and she though Meg would be a great model for it. I was happy to have her because I had seen Mel’s photos of her and she seemed super iconic looking. She looks like someone Warhol would shoot if he was still around.

After the release party, I talked to her about shooting a few times but it kept not happening. Finally we figured it out and I ended up shooting her at my friend Sucklord’s Chinatown art studio. Not only was Sucklord nice enough to let us use his space to shoot, but he’s also happens to be dating Meg and has been teaching her how to make her own toys. In fact Meg just released her first toys, The Spayed Squad, on Saturday. 

Also, the same day we shot these photos we did a shoot to test out my new lights that I bought for the press photos I did for Isle of Dogs. We did a quick shoot with the lights and they are available exclusively on Girls of Driven By Boredom. They’ve been up there for a while too so if you had a Girls of DBB account you’d have known all about Meg by now. 

Lastly, I felt like I should mention that one of the photos of Meg from the Instaxxx release party is in the International edition of Instaxxx and I still have a box of those left if anyone is interested in getting a copy.

Giselle Palmer is pretty amazing. I met her back when she was living in Austin, TX over a year ago. We talked on Twitter and I ended up doing a photo shoot with her in her apartment. Photographically it was pretty mediocre but she was great to shoot and when I planned a trip into the woods with Holly Beth a few days later we brought Giselle with us. 

I am usually in here apologizing for my photography because I generally hate everything I do, but I actually like these photos a lot. We found some sort of abandoned mill and shot inside of it. I was pretty impressed Giselle was willing to climb the walls and pose inside the mill’s window frame. We had Holly on the look out and when people walked passed us (we were right next to a popular hiking trail) we would hide behind the walls, but when Giselle was up there, not only did she have to climb a wall but she was also visible for anyone to see. Fortunately I think we made it without anyone noticing. 

A few months after we did this shoot Giselle moved to LA and became a super popular porn star and I assume lived happily ever after or something. I ran into her at AVN this past January and I hope we get to shoot again some day soon cause she was a damn pleasure to shoot.

I met Claudia Cho ages ago via Twitter when my friend OJ introduced us. He said that we should shoot and we talked about it but then ages passed and it never happened. At some point she actually got banned from Twitter (multiple times) because she’s just totally vicious in like a reality show villain kinda way which is actually the main reason I enjoyed following her on Twitter. Once she got banned I sort of forgot about her (not completely, I still followed her on Instagram) since we had never actually met in real life and that’s just how the internet works, but then suddenly she appeared in the flesh.

The same mutual friend OJ got married last summer, and I recognized her waiting at the bus stop (they got married on a bus!) and said hi. She told me she was staying at this weird hotel in Greenpoint and we made plans to shoot before she left town again. I came over there late the next night and she was partying with some friends but they didn’t seem to mind too much when we did a naked photo shoot in front of them.

There’s some sexy photos of Claudia out there but I think this is actually the first real naked photo shoot Claudia has ever done which is kinda awesome. I didn’t really love the lighting in the place we were shooting and if you know anything about me I am too lazy to color correct shit, but you know what? If you want to see some photos of Claudia naked it’s just something you are going to have to deal with.

Also, I should mention that these photos (plus some bonus butt shots) have been available on Girls of Driven By Boredom for a minute. I wanted to post something on there for the subscribers before I went to the Galapagos and then I had a bunch of stuff to post before I got to this update. So remember those Jillian Janson photos I just posted? These photos of Kasey Warner came out of that same pile of lost 2016 photos. I am trying to get all the lost stuff up and I think there’s only one more gallery from that trip so we are making a pretty good dent in the recently discovered galleries. I still have a couple things from 2013 too which is insane, but none of that matters right now. Let’s get to Kasey!

I met Kasey Warner at an AVN Nomination party and we pretty much became friends instantly. The next day I went over to her place and photographed her in her backyard with her puppy Snacks. Since then, I have actually stayed with her in LA twice, and she crashed with me when she came to NYC. I have done multiple photo shoots at her place and I even met my girlfriend when I was hanging out with Kasey. She’s quickly become one of my favorite people. (I cannot say the same thing about Snacks… he peed on my couch and then bit me when I tried to move him off my couch. There was a wild amount of blood for such a tiny animal.)

Anyway, I don’t have much more to say and I gotta pack cause I am leaving the country tomorrow, but just know that Kasey rules. If you watched the 2017 AVN Awards on Showtime you saw this segment featuring Jillian Janson. You might also have noticed that I am in that segment. In fact we did a whole photo shoot for Showtime to film. In the segment Jillian talks about the first time we shot and a handful of the photos were featured in the video, but weirdly enough I never published those photos myself. This was clearly a mistake and I am making up for it now.

I actually met Jillian in an elevator I think. Someone else introduced us and I honestly don’t even remember what porn convention it was but I remember I brought her one of my zines on the floor the next day and told her I would love to shoot with her and at some point when I was in LA it actually happened. I met her in Santa Monica and shot her under the same boardwalk  where I had ended my epic Route 66 road trip that resulted in my first book. I got some good feelings about that place even if it’s also a complete tourist nightmare.

There are a ton of photos of Jillian in this gallery and most of them aren’t naked because people were watching us shoot and honestly it was a little too cold to be shooting and she was freezing. It was nice outside, but the wind under the boardwalk was fucking up her life. Still her bikini is one of the smaller articles of clothing I have photographed and I don’t think anyone is going to be too mad about these photos. She did get fully naked for a few minutes but most of the other nudity is just the random flash here in there, including a couple slightly too graphic shots that are available only on Girls of Driven By Boredom because I am a monster and want your money. 

Speaking of wanting your money, Jillian signed some original Instax photos for an award for the Kickstarter for my book Instaxxx. The Kickstarter is way over, but I found a few extra signed Instax that didn’t sell and I put them up for sale with the book for the same price as they were on Kickstarter. There’s only one Jillian Instax left so hurry and buy it!

Okay I am done trying to sell you stuff, just go look at these photos of Jillian because she is a babe. I can’t wait to shoot Jillian again when we aren’t in public so I finally have the time to catch her off guard and get some photos of her that aren’t super posed and fancy AF.

I met Emily a little over a year ago when I was working on my Instaxxx book. I had Tinder at the time and I was using it as both a dating app and a way to find girls to photograph. When I would see someone who looked really cool looking I would check to see if they had an Instagram posted and then I reach out that way instead of via Tinder. I actually found a bunch of models that way and Emily was one of them.

When I reached out about doing something for my book she had never really done any modeling, much less nude modeling. We met up one evening and walked around my neighborhood until we found this construction site and shot a handful of Instax photos in there. It actually ended up as a full page spread in my book.

Shooting her that first time went great but with first time models it’s great to have more time to shoot them in a place they feel comfortable. A few weeks later we took photos at her apartment and we took our time and got some really nice stuff. Since then Emily has done more modeling and moved out to LA. We talked about shooting again next time I am out there, but there’s something I love about these slightly awkward photos from someone who isn’t used to the camera. It just feels so much more real. 

As much as I like these photos they are not the reason I will remember this shoot forever, it’s what happened after the shoot. Emily told me she was turning 23 at midnight and was trying to figure out what she should do to celebrate. Jokingly I told he she should get the words “Today is my 23rd birthday” tattooed to her. She told me I should get it since I have so many stupid tattoos, so I told her if she paid for it I would get a tattoo for her birthday so I called her bluff and that’s how I ended up with the number 23 inside of a balloon tattooed to my leg at 1am in one of the sketchier tattoo shops I’ve ever been tattooed in.

My girlfriend is visiting today which means I am gonna not do anything for a week, so I just wanted to get this last update before I disappeared for a few days. She lives in Detroit so I don’t get to see her too often. I mostly mention Detroit because it’s a good segue into these photos of Syd Vicious who happens to live in Detroit. See? It all makes sense. 

Before I talk more about Sydney that I want to be clear that I tried to get her to go by Sydney instead of her absurd stage name “Syd Vicious” but she wouldn’t have it so here we are. So go look at her Facebook page so she doesn’t get mad at me for making fun of her name. 

I met Sydney at the Gathering of the Juggalos where she was performing with Mike Busey and the Busey Beauties. The first year we met we talked a handful of times, but after the Gathering we made plans to take photos one day. That didn’t happen until the following Gathering where we did this shoot behind a bunch of port-a-potties, which is the ideal Gathering location for any photo shoot.

I am posting these photos now because, hopefully to everyone’s great excitement, I am slowing working on my juggalo book and I found these. I think I had them saved for a pre-2017 Gathering post and then just forgot, but it’s one more old shoot that’s finally up on Driven By Boredom.

Oh, I should mention that because we were at a music festival tons of people were watching our shoot so Syd didn’t quite get fully naked, but I got a few shots that might appeal to people who enjoy such things as vaginas and just to be a dick about it, I put those shots exclusively on Girls of Driven By Boredom. I mean how else am I gonna get you creeps to pay for it?
