So I said yesterday that I was going to get these photos up today, and by god I will. Unfortunately I spent ALL DAY figuring out my Sundance plans. I had to find a place to stay (it is going to cost me $700 to be there for 5 days!) and figure out my flights and all that stuff. Then I shot Burning Angel’s own Envy (Amore on Gods Girls) in the insanely creepy Motel I am staying at. The light was not quite good enough to shoot without flash, so I didn’t get exactly what I wanted, but there are probably some good shots.

Anyway, the Burning Angel party was at Beauty Bar in LA. I like the space, but not as much as the one in NYC. They also played a lot of aggressive house there which would make BB’s NYC Michael Stewart start punching people. The party was fun, not much nudity, but a bit… so NSFW. This French Canadian porn star told me I was beautiful* and a local girl got insanely drunk and pretty much decided I was the best thing ever. Luckily her friend helped her get her shit together and my guess is she made it home alive. They were rad kids. She wants to be a Suicide Girl… I told her to talk to Joanna instead. Speaking of SG, Zui Suicide was there and we bonded. She’s from VA and evidently she is on some reality show featuring Paris Hilton that I have never heard of, but I am sure I should have. After the party, I went to the Circle Bar and didn’t talk to Regan Reece even though I am sort of in love with her. Okay, I have really shitty internet and lots of things to do, so check out the pictures and I will get back to you as soon as I can with the write ups from the rest of the Vegas trip.

When I was uploading these photos I had to try and figure out how many galleries I already have of Lily LaBeau. It turns out this is the fourth gallery, but it’s really the sixth time I have photographed her. I shot her at AVN back in 2012 and then I shot her again later that year in LA. And then of course I shot her for WoodRocket on Mt. Rainier on an epic West Coast road trip a couple of years ago, but I also have photographed her two more times. I shot her the day before that Mt. Rainier shoot as part of a set that I saved exclusively for Girls of Driven By Boredom and then she was part of my Girls of AVN gallery in 2015. That’s six shoots when you count this one, and I hope to shoot her many more times in the future.

 This time we finally shot on my home turf in Brooklyn, but we did shoot at Lily’s AirBnB while she was visiting the city. This shoot is mostly non nude because there were tons of people living in the building who had access to the courtyard we shot in, but we snuck in some nudity fairly unsuccessfully. We got caught twice but the people there were actually very chill about the whole thing and one of the people even told us she would smoke out front so that we could have privacy. The courtyard was super pretty and we took a ton of photos on the fire escape so that was great. 

There is some extra nudity on Girls of Driven By Boredom because I took some photos that are a little too racy for this site. Oddly enough those shots were easier to get away with then the toplessness. All my favorite shots are in this gallery though and hopefully you will dig them.

Okay, that’s it on the Lily front, but I should also mention that I am back from another trip and I hope to be home for at least a month and I am very much looking forward to it after traveling all summer. I am headed back to Miami in October, but hopefully between now and then there will be plenty of regular updates and maybe some news on some projects. Oh, and I have a fish tank now.

Many years ago someone introduced me to Nikki Hearts and I made some stupid joke as I tend to do and for years she thought I was a dick and I would run into her all the time and we would sort of pretend we didn’t know each other. I hate having awkward shit like that in my life so I finally just walked up to her and was like “Hey, I feel like you probably hate me but it was a misunderstanding and I wasn’t intentionally being a dick and all our friends are friends so like maybe we could be friends too” and then we were and it was great because Nikki is awesome. 

Last time I was in LA we finally took photos for the first time in the near decade I have known her and while the photos are technically “fine” people seem to love them because Nikki is one of the coolest looking people on the planet. Photographing people smoking weed is pretty much the easiest thing to do because smoke photographs well and when you add that to Nikki just being a rad babe you are gonna get some good pictures. 

After we shot these photos Nikki needed some press photos so we headed down to Echo Park and shot some more photos of her just smoking and looking real awesome. In the middle of that shoot she ended up just getting way too high and we had to stop taking photos which is honestly hilarious, and not the first time that’s happened to me. 

I also sort of shot Nikki again in Vegas in January when I went over to her hotel room to photograph her girlfriend Leigh Raven. Most of these photos are exclusive to Girls of Driven By Boredom, but some shots of the two of them ended up in my Girls of AVN gallery this year. 

Speaking of Girls of DBB, there are some more explicit shots from my shoot with Nikki on there, PLUS the entire safe for work shoot we did for her press photos. It doesn’t have any nudity, but the photos are cool anyway and it seemed like a good bonus gallery. And as always the photos are in double the resolution over there on the paid site. Oh, and speaking of paid sites, you could check out Nikki’s VERY NSFW site, but I don’t think I am even allowed to say the name of it.

When I was in Vegas last week for the AVN Awards I had to stop by the WoodRocket 5th anniversary party. WoodRocket is the completely insane adult film company responsible for ridiculous porn parodies like Hamiltoe and Dick & Morty. The company is the brainchild of my friend Lee Roy Myers who once made a Simpsons porn parody where he painted all the actors yellow. Lee Roy and his team make so much weird, brilliant shit and have managed to make a living through sponsorships and selling merch without having to actually charge for their porn. The WoodRocket tagline is “The future of porn” and they are probably right.

When WoodRocket first launched I sat down with the WoodRocket crew and pitched a road trip video series. “Road Strip” helped me pay for my Route 66 road trip that led to my first book “Get Your Kicks”. If it weren’t for WoodRocket I never would have been able to do the trip. Years later I went on a West Coast road trip I shot a photo series that was sort of a continuation of Road Strip, just in still form. One of the girls I brought with me was April O’Neil who is a big part of the WoodRocket team, both starring and directing stuff for them.

Anyway, I love these guys (I had dinner with them instead of going to the actual AVN Awards) so I had to hit their 5 year anniversary party. They turned their studio into a museum to all their weird props and did some of their web series live including Topless Girls Reading books. Unfortunately I could only stay for about an hour so the gallery I posted is mostly just photos of the museum and a handful of party photos. Fortunately I did manage to get my friend Kasey Warner topless on a giant Nintendo console which was my only goal before I left. Oh, also my hero Lloyd Kafuman was there so that ruled.

The AVN Awards/ Adult Entertainment Expo weekend has become one of the yearly events I cover without fail, but this year was a little bit different. Playboy was my only client this year, instead of a bunch of smaller clients, so I didn’t really have to shoot the AEE or the AVN Awards. I also am dating someone in the industry so instead of staying out until 5am shooting weird shit in the middle of the night and trying to hang out with random porn girls I just watched the entire first season of the Wire with her instead. It was great.

That being said, I really half assed it on my coverage of the AEE (and didn’t even shoot the actual awards) because I was just shooting it for myself. The first day of the convention I mostly just went down to get my pass and say hi to everyone. Day two I spent a little more time shooting the awards, but I also did some actual photo shoots which was sort of my priority. Day three and four I was shooting my stuff for Playboy so I didn’t really get much AEE stuff at all except for when I happened on the Greg Lansky booth and he was throwing money in to the crowd.

Long story short, this gallery is under 100 images and most of the people I took photos of are friends of mine. Still, there’s some nice stuff in here and congrats to Tori Black on her 2018 Vixen Angel of the Year award which is what the throwing cash into the crowd was all about. Day one and two of my trip to Vegas are in the books and I feel like I have taken a million photos and not sure I like any of them because that’s just how I roll. I have been mostly focused on my assignments for LA Weekly, Mass Appeal and Vice and of course taking photos for my book so I have only really done one full set of babe photos.

I shot a few digital photos of Abigail Mac, Stefanie Joy, and Melissa Moore but I was mostly focused on my other work that aside from one or two pictures the digital stuff is fairly useless. I did a quick set with Bobbi Dylan in a stairwell but we didn’t wanna get caught so it was really fast and then last night as I was leaving to head back to my hotel I shot a few photos of Ramona Flour in the parking garage. All this stuff will probably end up in a Girls of AVN 2016 gallery pretty soon.

The one shoot I did for real was of Jillian Janson. I actually shot her for the Showtime AVN broadcast. I guess they put in little features between the awards and apparently I am going to be in one of them. We shot in this amazing penthouse suite and then went on the roof and finally snuck into a kitchen where we immediately got caught. I took 300 photos so there’s gotta be one good one.

So while I was updating this my friend Taurus just showed up and we took some photos in my hotel room so I guess I will add that to this update too! Not sure if there’s a full set in there either but we got some nice stuff. She’s so fucking pretty.

I should also mention that my Instaxxx photo book Kickstarter hit $11,000 today which is fucking insane and Abigail Mac and Jillian Janson signed some Instax for the Kickstarter so if you haven’t donated or want to raise your pledge you can get one of the signed outtakes. Wow that was a long sentence.

Anyway, I am headed back to the AEE and I am sure I will have plenty of that stuff for you soon.

Today I am off to Vegas to shoot the 2017 AVN Awards aka the “Oscars of Porn”. I will be there for a few days and then I am off to LA for a few more. I will be working for a few clients in Vegas but mostly I will be working on my new book Instaxxx. I shipped 80 shots of Instax Wide film to Vegas already and I am bringing a couple boxes with me. Gonna make some god damn art.

Speaking of Instaxxx the Kickstarter is going way too well and it’s kinda blowing my mind. On Saturday I shot some Instax for Nakid Magazine at Hello Beautiful Salon during the middle of the day and Nakid put them up yesterday. Not sure if anyone bought the book after they ran but this model Aneta is such a babe so they came out pretty well and that’s good enough for me.

Anyway, while I am on the west coast am going to send you guys over to the road trip blog for shorter updates while I travel, but before I do that I have a present for you guys: I found a ton of photos I shot at AVN in 2014 and never published!

I shot a behind the scenes article for a magazine I am not going to mention in 2014 and they never ran it and I totally forgot to publish the photos myself which is crazy. Luckily this trip to Vegas made me look for a photo and when I saw it wasn’t on my website I suddenly had a realization I never posted these.

So, I have uploaded a big gallery of photos featuring Raven Rockette and Kleio Valentien naked on a roof, Jessie Lee naked in the halls of the Hard Rock, the last photos I took of Kimberly Kane before we broke up on the ride home from Vegas, Claire Robbins lounging on a bed and Asphyxia Noir in the balcony seats of the Joint.

I also found an entire gallery I shot of the Suicide Sirens who aren’t together any more but they are hot and naked it’s a pretty cool set. I will post those at some point soon but for now you just get a preview below…

When I was in Vegas for the AVN Awards I found a staircase in a parking garage I really wanted to photograph someone naked on. I spent two days trying to make that happen but people were busy and it was a long walk in heels. I ran into my friend Dylan Moore (who you can see more of here) at the ALF party and we talked about shooting again, so when I ran into her as the tradeshow was ending the next day I asked her if she wanted to hit that stairwell, and we did it.

But after that we decided to go back to her hotel to take even more photos. I couldn’t stay long but we took a bunch of fun photos that you are hopefully about to look at. She did splits on furniture, she jumped off of TV stands (she moved the TV), she changed twice and I just captured the madness. I honestly barely got out of the chair and she did all the work which is honestly my favorite type of shoot. Sometimes when I am shooting in a hotel room after shooting other shit all day, I just want to lay down and try and find reasons to shoot from the hotel bed. Yes I am that lazy, but also it makes butts look good so everyone wins.

Also, I haven’t shot any nudes since this Vegas trip. It sucks. I don’t know what to shoot in North Carolina and I went to NYC on the weekend before 4th of July and everyone was out of town. I need to get back to LA soon just to shoot (and see my newborn niece) but in the meantime I am just stretching out the NSFW content I do have. I still have one more shoot to go, and it’s a good one. But it’s also of Dylan from the first time we shot. So I need to find at least one more shoot to post before I post those right? So if anyone knows any naked people within two hours of Wilmington, NC, let a guy know. I am not ready to retire quite yet.

Hello! I am back with some “new” pictures that I took back in January during the AVN Awards week. I am settling nicely into my new North Carolina life but between the move and getting the new place together I really haven’t taken very many photos. It’s a super weird experience for me but I have recently come into some dumb crypto money so my priority has been on getting used to my move and not working, but that’s not really a long term situation so hopefully I’ll get back to traveling and taking wild photos and all that shit. Meanwhile, I have some photos of my old pal Heidi V and her friend Nova Hawthorne. 

I met Heidi years ago and we have taken photos a few times now and she’s always an awkward joy to photograph. She’s very fun and for the second time brought me a pretty friend to take photos with as well. Nova Hawthorne was staying with Heidi during the AVNs so one day I went up to their room to take photos. The light sucked so we pulled out one of their webcam lights and made it work. They are pretty bad technically because that’s kinda my thing, but you can tell the girls are having a blast and capturing actual fun is also kinda my thing.

All the photos below are very cute, but there are also some pretty sexy photos as well, but you gotta go to Girls of Driven By Boredom for those. Sorry but those are the rules. Anyway, I am gonna get back organizing my office, watering all my plants, feeding my fish and whatever else I do in my new weird life.
