Hello! I am back with some “new” pictures that I took back in January during the AVN Awards week. I am settling nicely into my new North Carolina life but between the move and getting the new place together I really haven’t taken very many photos. It’s a super weird experience for me but I have recently come into some dumb crypto money so my priority has been on getting used to my move and not working, but that’s not really a long term situation so hopefully I’ll get back to traveling and taking wild photos and all that shit. Meanwhile, I have some photos of my old pal Heidi V and her friend Nova Hawthorne. 

I met Heidi years ago and we have taken photos a few times now and she’s always an awkward joy to photograph. She’s very fun and for the second time brought me a pretty friend to take photos with as well. Nova Hawthorne was staying with Heidi during the AVNs so one day I went up to their room to take photos. The light sucked so we pulled out one of their webcam lights and made it work. They are pretty bad technically because that’s kinda my thing, but you can tell the girls are having a blast and capturing actual fun is also kinda my thing.

All the photos below are very cute, but there are also some pretty sexy photos as well, but you gotta go to Girls of Driven By Boredom for those. Sorry but those are the rules. Anyway, I am gonna get back organizing my office, watering all my plants, feeding my fish and whatever else I do in my new weird life.

Okay, this post was supposed to go up in January. I had it all ready to go and then I just ran out of time before I went to the AVN Awards. And then when I was in Vegas I ran into Dylan again and we did this mini shoot in a parking garage that I posted in my last update and so I didn’t want to post her back to back but then this move happened and I have been swamped and don’t have a working office and long story short I just needed to get something up and this was the next in line. As I mention below, we did a second shoot on the same day as this one, but we also did a third shoot in Vegas that is probably great but honestly I haven’t even looked at the photos because my life has been a mess since I got back. Give me two more weeks an I should be back in business. My desk comes this week so that’s a start… anyway, here is your post from January:

Back in October a model named Dylan Moore reached out to me. She was coming to NYC and wanted to shoot. We had a mutual friend who connected us but she apparently followed me back in the Tumblr days. I was down of course and I showed up at her hotel and we did a pretty quick shoot on the bed in her I <3 NY shirt.

When we were done shooting in the hotel room we went out on the balcony area and took a few more photos. She seemed comfortable with public nudity but I didn’t want to get her kicked out of her hotel room. I did have an idea… I had wanted to shoot at this secret spot in my neighborhood since I found it in 2016 but for whatever reason I had never done it. I also had a second spot in mind but you had to be crazy to do it. Dylan was down for both and we got on the train and headed to Brooklyn… but that’s for another post….

Anyway, Dylan is a great model and she really liked the photos we took so I hope we get to shoot again soon (Spoiler alert: we did). Honestly I don’t have a ton more to say because I have a whole second part to this day and I am about to head to Vegas for the AVN Awards and I want to get this up before I leave (Editor’s note: lol).

A year ago I did my annual trip to Vegas and LA to shoot a bunch of stuff and then do the AVN Awards week madness and I don’t get to drive living in NYC and I love being on the road so I decided I would come to Vegas for one day and rent a car there and then drive to LA for a week, come back and drop off the car and then just be in Vegas for the rest of the time. It was a perfect plan and it gave me a chance to shoot someone I had been wanting to shoot for ages, Rocky Emerson.

When I landed in Vegas I had another shoot planned but that model couldn’t end up doing it and I sort of didn’t really know what to do and spent like an hour at the airport before I could check into my hotel trying to figure out a plan. Eventually I just went and tried to check in early and when I got there it had this huge window that was perfect for shooting photos in. I hit up Rocky and she was super busy because she had just returned to town herself and was planning for her brother to visit and she was like “come by and you can take photos of me building an Ikea bed for him”. This seemed like the perfect idea for the shoot so I went over to her place but the room she was building the bed in was super dark and there was no way we were gonna be able to make that work.

There was good light in her living room but her neighbors could easily see in so that wasn’t ideal either so we decided to go back to the hotel. She decide just to put the mattress on the floor and made the bed and I actually saw her fold a fitted she which was honestly incredible and we finally took off to head back to my hotel. Unfortunately by the time we got there it was too dark anyway because it was fucking January and daylight doesn’t exist and so we had to use this horrible lamp to shoot with. This is the pain of not being a real photographer… if the light sucks I just have to deal with it because I am not fucking bringing lights anywhere with me.

Anyway Rocky is real hot so it’s fine, and we shot some really nice 35mm stuff that was less reliant on good lighting cause it was either black and white or shot with flash. And we got a few really nice shots digitally too, but I think we were both a bit disappointed with the photos which is a bummer, but again, Rocky is very hot so it’s fine but it probably explains why I haven’t posted these for a year. But I am running out of content so here we are. I hope we get to try again one of these days.

After the shoot we went out with her friends and her brother and honestly it was a blast and thinking about it now makes me really miss fun. Okay, let’s get slightly less depressing and slightly more commercial. I put a preview of this up on there yesterday and I recently edited together a video of a bunch of old Snapchats of “porn stars doing things” which is just a way of me saying it’s a bunch of hot girls who are not actually naked and it features a two second video clip of Rocky and her friend Sam dancing like those inflatable things outside of used car dealerships. It’s not up yet but honestly I just needed some sort of reason to plug my OnlyFans so let me live.

When I first met Olive Glass I squished her head for some reason. I have no explanation for how that came to be but here we are. A couple years later I finally got to take photos of Olive and I feel like we got some good ones and you can now look at them. 

These were taken at her place in LA which is pretty much the last time I left NYC for more than a couple of days on my way to the AVN Awards last year which would be happening this month if it weren’t for the apocalypse which means I am going to miss AVN for the first time in over a decade and also that these photos are nearly a year old which is honestly far too long but what are you gonna do? The world ended, don’t blame me.

What makes me very happy about these photos is that Olive liked them. She does a lot of very fancy pretty fashion modeling and whenever I see her photos on the internets they are always retouched and glamourous and things and obviously my photos are not like that. She still appreciated my raw look which is awesome. Instead of having her pose we just hung out drinking coffee and taking photos and telling stories and all that stuff and as you probably know by now that’s my favorite kinda shoot. Can’t wait to get back out to LA one day so we can do it again.

Now that we got all of the lost 2019 photos out of the way we have moved back into 2020. I shot a bunch of stuff in January in Vegas and LA before the world ended and while I have posted a bunch of that in the past I still got a few more galleries left starting with Siri Dahl. I knew all about Siri years ago and we even talked about working on a big project together but we never actually met. She eventually retired from being a professional naked person and I didn’t hear from her in years.

Fast forward to AVN 2020 when she came out of retirement and started shooting again. She had been doing a podcast about her “Life After Adult” and then suddenly she was doing adult all over again. She even gave herself a new stage last name which is probably a lot easier to google since when she started in the industry Apple’s Siri didn’t exist yet.

I walking around the convention center with my pal Sovereign Syre during the Adult Expo and Sov finally introduced me to Siri in real life. She put in a good word and later that day I was up in Siri’s hotel room taking photos. Siri and I got along real well because she is awesome and after the AVN Awards ran into her and I ended up in an Uber with her and Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q and Ella Nova to a very weird party at a mansion in the middle of nowhere and I’m not sure if it was a wild night but it was a very strange one and I think it was daylight when I got back to my hotel room. 

So yeah now Siri and I are clearly best friends and I can’t wait to take photos of her again and hopefully end up at some awful party in the middle of nowhere because honestly how great would it be to go to even an awful party again. I mean we took a party bus home, do you have any idea how much I want to go on a party bus? And I have never wanted to go on a party bus.

So yesterday I got all the photos up from the 2020 AVN Awards, so today you get the photos from the four day convention that leads up to the awards. The Adult Entertainment Expo is like any other convention or trade show except like with way more pasties. Fans line up to take photos with and get autographs from adult film stars and go buy all sorts of sex toys and robotic women and whatever weird shit you are probably imagining anyway. It’s my 13th one of these things and I have shot it in the past for the Village Voice, LA Weekly, Playboy, Hustler, Vice and many, many more. This year I was shooting it for The Daily Beast and you can read that story here.

I honestly can’t think of what else to say about it. I shot it with a mix of natural light and flash and I took a bunch of photos since it was 4 days long. There are like 160 photos in the gallery so lots to look at. There is no actual nudity in here because that is apparently against some sort of dumb rules but the gallery is still significantly NSFW. This is the last year at the Hard Rock which is closing down on Monday. AVN Week is still happening there next year it’s just going to be at the ironically rebranded hotel, The Virgin.

I should also mention that these photos have been up for days over on Girls of DBB and in higher resolution. I also have all the other random photos I took during the week up there as well. I will get that post up sometime this weekend, but if you don’t want to wait, sign up.

I have shot Kasey Warner many, many times. She is one of my favorite people and pretty much anytime I go to LA we shoot something even if it’s just something random. I have shot her in Vegas and NYC as well. I have done a bunch of shoots with her with other girls as well. I have an upcoming shoot that I haven’t published with Chloe Cherry that I shot at her place for example. She isn’t in the actual shoot, but I took a bunch of 35mm shots of the two of them together. The point of all this is that this is only the second actual shoot I have ever done with her. You can see the first one here.

These photos we shot last time I was in LA and I realized that I am about to go to LA again and so I should get some of those photos up. I have a bunch of stuff from that trip that I haven’t looked at other than to pull a few photos for the models. (Tip for photographers, get models a few images right away so they don’t get pissed that you don’t do anything with the full shoot for months.) We went on a hike in Griffith Park shot a bunch of photos in this little dead end area we found. We could have been seen by a bunch of people, but I think we managed to pull it off without getting caught. That’s always fun.

After the shoot we went to get some food at a diner called Brite Spot and while we were eating there was a 7.1 earthquake. I had briefly been awakened by an earthquake the day before, but this was the first time in my life I had really been aware of what was happening. All the chandelier’s in the restaurant were shaking and people were completely freaking out. I have lived in Brooklyn too long and my immediate thought was that I would look “uncool” if I tried to run for cover so I just sort of sat there and took it in. I didn’t really realize how big it was and looked outside and noticed the traffic light poles were swinging about 3 feet in either direction. In the end everything was fine and honestly it was really fun.

Happy 2020 guys. I got some cool stuff coming this month including a new Kickstarter 100 project, my yearly trip to the AVN Awards and my “Best of 2019” update which means I need to get to my “Best of 2018” update because apparently it doesn’t exist. Hopefully blogging about this will keep me accountable or something. Anyway it’s been a minute since my last update with the Christmas and New Years break so let’s get you guys some photos.

Back in August I was at the Gathering of the Juggalos, but I had to be in Miami the following Thursday so I decided I would just fly straight to Florida to save money. I had to be in Florida for a few extra days but I figured I could take advantage of it. I flew into Orlando and rented a car and photographed my friend Veronica Rose (aka Ay Dubz) on this river somewhere. I grabbed my digital camera but I left the charged battery in the car and we had to canoe to the shoot so I only got a few photos in before it died. I mostly wanted to shoot film though so it wasn’t a big deal. 

The next day I drove down to Miami and stayed with Abella Danger for the night. I helped her put her new bed together and we were supposed to shoot the next morning but we woke up late so once again I just shot film of her really quickly. I did get some nice stuff out of it though. 

From there I drove north to meet my friend Michelle to go to a Dolphins game and on the way I stopped off at Karlee Grey’s place and we did a shoot on a beach. IIt was really bright and there were a bunch of people on the beach and we didn’t have much time, but I shot plenty of digital stuff and she is unreasonably attractive so you got some great photos to look at.

I ended up being really late meeting Michelle for the game because right as we were finishing shooting someone walked past us and then walked about 100 yards and turned around and she got stuck in the water completely naked while we waited for them to very walk by us again. Anyway, Karlee rules and hopefully one day we get to do a shoot under more ideal situations.

The other day I posted some photos of Evelyn Claire that I shot back in January at the AVN Awards and when I was editing them I realized there was another shoot I hadn’t published either. I had a bunch of photos of Scout just sitting around that I had already edited and just never posted. It made my life very easy yesterday when I was publishing these on Girls of Driven By Boredom.

Scout is great. The first time we shot I got so many photos I loved including a photo that ended up in an art show. It didn’t sell but it’s a great shot and it’s sitting behind my couch right now all framed up and ready to go for the next show or in case you want to buy it. 

I don’t have a ton more to say but some things you should know, 1) I can’t wait to shoot Scout again 2) There are photos of her in here doing topless handstands in the hall of the Hard Rock Hotel and 3) Scout paid more for those socks than I did for the entire outfit I was wearing while taking the photos.
