My friend Doug Sakmann once again brought the NYC Zombie Crawl to Brooklyn and fake blood covered Bedford Avenue. The 7th annual Brooklyn zombie crawl wasn’t quite as massive as some of the crawls before it, normally it takes place on Memorial Day weekend, but hundreds of zombies still showed up ready to eat hipster flesh in Williamsburg.  The crawl started out at the Knitting Factory and went down Bedford Ave to McCarren Park before turning around and ending up at Public Assembly for an insane after party.

I have been covering Doug’s zombie crawl events for years and I think they get crazier and crazier. Between the zombies and the flesh pulls and the random nudity this gallery is very much NSFW.  But just wait until I post the after party pictures, looking at those pictures at work will definitely get you fired.

I fucked up and forgot to do an April Fool’s joke for the site so instead I will give you some Zombie Rave photos from Webster Hall last night because the idea is pretty fucking hilarious. I shoot all these NYC Zombie Crawl events so I figured I should finally check out Zombie Rave (this is the third edition). I was told they would be dumping 1,000 gallons of blood at midnight, and while it didn’t go off at exactly midnight and there probably wasn’t 1,000 gallons there was a lot of very sticky orangish liquid sprayed all over everyone. It was horrifyingly sticky actually, and after I tried to walk around the room after the blood was sprayed I decided I didn’t want to get attacked by bees so I got the fuck out of there. Still, I got some pretty wild pictures for the hour or so that I was there.

I probably could tell you a lot more about this party but my punk band is playing in a couple hours and I need to get into a headspace that doesn’t involve me blogging any longer. But I might eat your brains if you show up…

Holy shit. If the NYC Zombie Crawl wasn’t enough there was an insane after party at The Studio at Webster Hall. A lot of the thousand plus zombies went home and missed out on total insanity. It was a little too empty all night for some reason but the couple hundred people who stuck around were in for a treat. There was a Nine Inch Nails cover band fronted by an Elvis impersonator (Nine Inch Elvis), there was an all girl metal cover band (Thunder Box) who blew people away from their opener Ace of Spades all the way to their closer Run To The Hills. Troma’s Lloyd Kaufman showed up and played a sneak peak of his new Class of Nuke Em High remake. Lots of the cast were there and were causing all sorts of trouble. My girl Scarlett Storm showed up with her friend Smurf and they did horror themed burlesque. At the end of the night there was some sort of sexy zombie contest where the only person not dressed up was the only person to get naked. But there was vomiting and sexy dancing. Also there were human flesh pulls, I mean obviously. Honestly the whole night was a fucking blur. I wasn’t drinking but I felt drunk (There was a lot of cheap Sailor Jerry and PBR though) and got a bunch of girls naked in the back room and in the bathroom. It was like an old school DBB night. Lot’s of fun, total weirdness and tons of wild NSFW pictures. Look at them!

The NYC Zombie Crawl is back! This year they started out at Webster Hall before heading up to Union Square, over to Beauty Bar, down to the Continental before heading back to Webster for a fucking insane after party. I took close to 150 photos of the crawl and I am going to break it up into two updates. Today you are getting just the crawl and then I will be back tomorrow with the after party. The crawl pictures are insane because zombie leader Doug Sakman is a lunatic, many laws were broken and there is some NSFW stuff from both Goddess Shea and Troma’s Zac Amico, but the after party pics are full of nudity and heavy metal. The Brooklyn Zombie Crawl after party at Public Assembly is always total madness so when I saw a Misfits cover band play last year and kill it I knew that my punk cover band Fucking Bullshit had to play this years. I begged king of the zombies Doug Sakmann to let us play and then I had to beg my band not to go out of town for Memorial Day. The whole thing was worth it as we played the best show of our short career. Of course I didn’t take any pictures of our set but Coach Mike did. You can see his shots here. I can proudly say we were the highlight of the evening even if we may not be ever asked back. It was a real shit show.

Before we played Andy Shaw’s awesome punk band Bikini Carwash opened up the night. They are fronted by this hot lady who sings in a bikini which is appropriate given the name and I fully support. Pretty sure I attacked her during our set.  Sorry.

After my band played things were a little questionable photographically. I hit my head badly during a stage dive and I was properly concussed. I also was pretty drunk on Sailor Jerry rum. They were a sponsor and it was my birthday and they kept pouring it in my face. I managed to shoot some of the rest of the festivities even though I was ruined and I managed to break my flash. I shot my pal Scarlett Storm get naked on stage. She is a Bombshell Brat and a member of the burlesque troupe Rigor Mortis Revue. I was too messed up to document the Smut Cave talk show or the Zombie Gilbert Gottfried but I did manage to shoot the insane Strip For Pain which as always involves naked Burning Angel girls beating the shit out of dudes. The guy who won was possible the best I have ever seen at taking the pain.  There was also a “Hot Zombie Contest” but it devolved pretty quickly into Scarlett getting naked and making out with some other girl who emailed me asking me not to post her tits on the internet so I did what I could. Either way the whole gallery is properly NSFW no matter what.  Enjoy.

I am in LA and super behind with very little time to update but I needed to get these damn zombie crawl images up! I shoot the Brooklyn Zombie Crawl every year and it seems to become more and more popular and their are more and more photographers. This year my band was playing the after party so I sort of held back and didn’t take as many photos as normal.  But normal is like 1000 photos… I still have a massive gallery of zombies attacking Williamsburg, Brooklyn and I will have another huge gallery from the after party.

Here is the important info real quick: My insane friend and zombie crawl capitan Doug Sakmann lead close to 1000 zombies from Trash Bar to McCarren Park to Spike Hill, where Nassau Chainsaw played, over to Public Assembly for the after party.  The whole thing took more than two hours and as always is a fantastic time and amazingly no one ever gets arrested.

Tomorrow is an exciting day! I am celebrating my birthday, my band is playing and zombies are taking over Brooklyn!

The Brooklyn Zombie crawl is tomorrow starting out at 6pm from Trash Bar and wondering all over Brooklyn until it ends up at Public Assembly around 9pm for an after party that you cannot miss. If you don’t know about the New York zombie crawls you just need to do a search of my website. They are insane. But the real insanity doesn’t happen until the zombies get to Public Assembly.

My band Fucking Bullshit is playing punk rock covers to a packed house of zombies for what will no doubt be our greatest show. I will be wildly drunk because I am celebrating my birthday and I will be in rare form. You cannot miss this shit. Seriously if you ever see a Fucking Bullshit show this should be the one to see.

The whole after party should be insane. It starts at 9pm and Andy Shaw’s band Bikini Carwash is opening. My band goes on at 9:45pm and then it’s just a fleet of naked zombie girls doing all manor of things after that. There is zombie burlesque and the infamous Strip for Pain.  If you want to see Burning Angels naked in real life instead of just on the internet you need to show up. There will be PBR and Sailor Jerry drink specials and I can probably hook it up with free booze if you bother me enough. The whole thing is going to be a shit show.

The after party is $15 or $12 if you come dressed as a zombie but I assure you it will be more than worth it. You got cheap drinks, punk rock covers and a lot of zombie boobs. You need this shit in your life.

The fifth annual Drop Dead Gorgeous zombie beauty pageant was held at Beauty Bar on Sunday but this year it was holiday themed. Professional zombie wrangler Doug Sakmann hosted dressed as a zombie elf and Michael T co-hosted using his normal holiday cheer. Evidently the blood wet t-shirt part of the contest was canceled due to them still trying to clean blood off the walls at Beauty Bar after last year’s total fucking insanity, but there was still a lot of gore to go around.

The contest involves three parts. There is a question and answer part to introduce the girls followed by a kinda underwhelming lingerie contest. The contest then ends with a brain eating contest of course. Each round is scored out of a total of 5 points by a four person panel of judges.  The judges were my friend and dominatrix Goddess Shay, Our Lady of Perpetual PMS from the Gorgeous Ladies of Blood Wrestling, Jessica Rajs from Gorgeous and Gory and Steve Dash who played Jason in Friday The 13th 2.

Wait a second… can we talk about how this event is called Drop Dead Gorgeous and features two judges that run things involving the word gorgeous?  There is absolutely nothing gorgeous about anything going on with this event… Also I have no idea how to spell the word gorgeous so I have to spell check it every single time. Just typing this all is very trying. Moving on…

Anyway, this green chick with giant boobs won and everyone went home bloody. Huzzah.

So you saw all the pictures from the Brooklyn Zombie Crawl I posted yesterday, and now you get to see the madness that was the after party at Public Assembly.  The second half of these pictures are pretty bad because I got really really drunk.  It was my birthday and at some point I had about 7 shots in 20 minutes and I pretty much lost it after that. I woke up with a ton of bruises all over my right leg, a cut ankle and several bite marks. I have no idea how any of that happened but I am going to assume at least some of it had something to do with crowd surfing during the Misfits cover band Ghouls Night Out.

The whole thing was insane with blood wrestling, zombie comedians, a NSFW zombie beauty pageant and a much more NSFW edition of Doug Sakmann’s Strip For Pain (thanks to Sammi Sprinkles) and lots of PBR.
