Of all the shoots I have done the one I hear the most about is the shoot I did with Andy San Dimas last June.  People really like the photos, but they fucking love Andy. People love her so much that she just won the 2011 X-Biz Female Performer of the Year award and the AVN Award for Best Actress.  That’s some impressive shit. ASD is blowing up.  The girl is so rad and so retarded hot that I couldn’t be happier for her. She is so rad in fact that she let me stay with her for two days during Exxxotica, NJ and she even let me order room service. What a fucking champ.

Another good thing about Andy San Dimas is that she loves my photos. She told me the last shoot we did was one of her favorite shoots of all time. I was pretty psyched to hear that since all she does is get naked for cameras all day. It seems that we work well together so when I was in LA in January I had to link up with her for another shoot.

I went over to her apartment and she was just sort of lounging about her house with her boyfriend.  We had no idea what we were going to shoot and she didn’t have much make up on or anything like that.  We figured we would just do something chill and easy.  She was in her closet looking for something to wear when I remembered that two years ago I sent her a Driven By Boredom tank top.  We hadn’t even met yet but we had known each other online for years so I sent her and her ex-boyfriend shirts. She pulled it out and put on some red Chucks and some red glasses to match.  It was a pretty good look but I had just been given a new Mishka Keep Watch hat when I visited the Mishka Echo Park store so I gave her that to rock for the shoot.  The black Keep Watch was the first Mishka item I owned and I was so glad to see them making it again since my old one got destroyed.

Anyway, the shoot was quck and lazy and it’s pretty obviously no where near as awesome as our last set.  Of course ASD is so fucking hot that it really doesn’t matter what the photos look like.  All that  matters is that she is in them and she is naked. Seriously.  Sometimes I think that people give a shit about my photography, but let’s be reasonable 90% of you just look for the NSFW tag and click to look at the naked girls.  Well, you better fucking enjoy this set motherfuckers, cause Andy San Dimas is fucking life changing.

I need to stop this poorly written rant now and try to get some fucking sleep. I have been awake for more than 21 hours for some reason.

I spent more time with Zoe Voss on my Vegas/LA trip than anyone else yet somehow we didn’t manage to do an actual photo shoot.  I was introduced to her online by a mutual friend a few months ago and we talked on Facebook and Twitter briefly but that was it.  I was in Las Vegas for the AVN Awards and I recognized her and introduced myself. She didn’t seem super interested in talking to me so it surprised me when I heard her tell someone how great of a photographer I was the next day.  She asked me if we could shoot when I was in LA. Zoe was a fashion and runway model for four years before she started doing porn. She’s a fucking babe and kinda famous.  Clearly I wanted to shoot her.

On the second day of the Adult Entertainment Expo I saw her in line to get some food. She was taking a break from signing autographs and needed a hot dog.  She asked me to walk her back to her booth so porn fans wouldn’t harass her and I ended up spending her whole lunch break with her and we kinda bonded. She gave me her number and told me to hit her up when I got to LA.

I ended up texting her pretty much the whole drive to LA. It was pretty clear I had kinda developed a crush on the girl.  The next day she invited me to the dog park with her amazing puppy Kaya.  We drove out to the Hollywood Hills to this dog park right under the Hollywood sign. I took some photos of her with my 35mm camera.  After that we got some food and she drove me to the apartment I was subletting. I had to pick up the key.  My place was right next to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and the premiere for Green Hornet was going on so we took her dog for a walk down Hollywood to check it out. We could see Seth Rogan and for some reason Tom Green across the street but Kaya was getting all the attention from the gawking tourists.

I was just planning on heading home after our walk but Zoe invited me for drinks with her ex-boyfriend and another friend of hers.  So we went back to her place and she got ready to go out while I played Angry Birds on my iPad. I took a bunch of photos of her getting ready to go out which is obviously the right move when a model/porn star is standing naked 5 feet from you.  I had my point and shoot 35mm camera and my old Pentax loaded with some black and white film so I finished both rolls on her.

After she got dressed we met up with her ex-boyfriend from high school who was visiting from Minnesota and headed over to the Chateau Marmont where she was meeting her friend for drinks.  It turns out her friend was James Frey who wrote the book A Million Little Pieces. It was a huge non-fiction best seller until it turned out he made most of it up and then that became and even bigger story. He was in town writing a pilot to a TV show for HBO that has something to do with the porn industry and wanted to talk to Zoe about the project.  When we got there he was at dinner with Richard Prince and several other well known artists. It was a bit surreal.  While she talked to him about porn I talked to the photographer next to me about photography and it turned out he was a fan of my ex-girlfriends dad’s art or something. Also sitting next at the table next to us was Katy Perry who happened to be sitting with my friend Mia. Mia was DJing at Bar Marmont at midnight so we ended up meeting her there after the James Frey drink session was over.  Zoe was really excited about getting to meet Jason Segel on the way out and her ex-boyfriend couldn’t believe that he had just spent $14 on one beer.

After we watched Mia DJ for a bit we dropped off Zoe’s ex and made a play for some more food at Fred 62. We created the worlds greatest milkshake by adding chocolate sauce to a peanut butter milkshake. It was kinda life changing. After dinner Zoe was falling asleep and she had a few drinks in her so she just wanted to pass out at my place.  I didn’t even have sheets on the bed but we hit up Wallgreens and I bought some sort of Snuggie like blanket things. She also made me buy her tampons which is always fun and awkward. We finally got back to my place and found out that there was a fucking bomb threat on my street and that we couldn’t even get to my apartment until it was clear.  She fell asleep in the car while I just sat there waiting for the cops to leave.  Eventually we made it home and curled under our makeshift blankets and passed out.  It was a lovely day in LA.

Zoe and I hung out a few more times that week but we never did manage to get that photo shoot in for some reason.  But I am sure I will see her again soon and we will get those fucking shots. Zoe is one of the coolest girls I know in porn and you would never know she did it unless you saw one of her movies. Which you should clearly do. But yeah, I totally miss the shit out of her.

Despite not shooting with her, I did take a bunch of photos that first day we met. I don’t have any photos at the Chateau Marmont for some reason, but I do have shots from all our other adventures including shots of her puppy, shots of the delicious milkshake… and oh yeah there might be a dozen or so photos of her naked… not that you guys would be interested in anything like that…

I have been trying to shoot Kimberly Kane for years but every time I would head out to LA she wouldn’t be able to shoot. I met her finally in Vegas last January but we only talked for a few minutes.  One year later, back in Vegas I ran into her again and we made plans to meet up when I was in LA but she didn’t really seem like she wanted to shoot. In LA I ran into her at the art show for Jessie Lee and we got to talking. She told me she hates doing photo shoots and that’s why she had never made time to shoot for me. Fortunately I had an ace up my sleeve.  She told me that she didn’t have any money on her but she really wanted to buy one of my photos in the art show. She asked me if there was a way she could buy it later.  I had a better idea.  I had made a bigger print of the same photo for an art show in Philly. I made a few copies so I knew I had one just sitting in my apartment.  I told her I would send her the print if she shot with me.  She agreed to my terms and we made plans to shoot.

I had lunch with a friend that ended up running late so I rushed across LA to try to beat the setting sun so I could shoot Kimberly with natural light.  She told me there was great light in her apartment but I was unfortunately a little bit late.  We decided to get right down to it and she jumped on her bed in her underwear.  The sun was setting right in front of her window and we had harsh but really nice light in the room.  We started shooting and an hour later we had shot all over her apartment, played with her dog, eaten really creepy blood oranges, hung out in her bathroom and had some fantastic conversation all the while.  I have no idea why Kimberly hates shooting cause she was so easy to shoot with, looks totally amazing and just fun to hang out with.  I really love a bunch of these shots and I hope you guys do too. So yeah, go to Kimberly’s website cause she is fucking awesome and she’s won a bunch of AVN Awards so you know she doesn’t fuck around.  Let’s just hope she likes another one of my prints enough to let me shoot her again…

My third Las Vegas post is probably the main reason I went to Vegas… the Adult Entertainment Expo. The AEE is a huge porn convention in the Sands Expo Center that works as industry event where people meet distributors, mingle with talent and check out new products, but it’s also a fan event where porn lovers can come meet their favorite stars, get autographs and pose for pictures.  I am not exactly sure why anyone would want an autograph from a porn star but who am I to judge? I still collect football cards.

The whole thing is a mix of weirdness, creepiness and a a bunch of hot half naked babes. I shoot a lot of these things and they are pretty interesting for a bit but then you have sort of seen everything and they get boring.  I keep coming back because they make for great photography and at this point I have a ton of friends that I only see at these shows so it’s a great opportunity to see everyone. Plus the pictures seem to do well traffic wise and the Village Voice and LA Weekly always buy the galleries.  It’s a pretty good deal.

This year I only covered Friday (and about an hour Sunday morning) because I spent Saturday doing the CES stuff, so there aren’t as many pictures as I have posted of these things in the past.  I also shot the entire thing without a flash because I wanted to see if I could do it.  Yeah, I might have missed some shots but I got some pretty nice ones and I didn’t have to carry around my flash all day. I am leaving town for a two week trip to Vegas and Los Angeles, but don’t worry I have plenty of stuff to update the site with while I am gone.  I still have two parties and two naked girls left over plus some surprises. I will even try to get an update up before I leave tomorrow so I don’t leave you guys hanging. That being said I have a few things I wanted to mention that I figured I could put all in one update so I get this important stuff out of the way before I leave town. So let’s get into it…

The first thing is the most important. I have shot a number of events that featured the Disgraceland Hook Squad. This is a group of crazy kids who do suspensions and flesh pulls and all sorts of other insane shit involving sticking giant hooks into themselves and running around like mad men. You can’t help but love them.  Several of their members got into a car accident back in July and while most of them are recovered one of the people, Spliff is still in the hospital and needs financial help so he can raise the money to move from Texas to NYC.  They were in Texas when the accident happened and they have had to stay there all these months.  They have found a treatment center in NYC that will take Spliff but it’s going to cost a huge amount of money to bring him home. They need to get back home now because his wife Jill, who was also in the accident, is about to have their first child.  She needs her family and friends help to raise the baby and also take care of Spliff so they need to get home before the baby is born. My friend Doug who introduced me to Spliff and Disgraceland has written this blog with a lot more details. On a much happier note I am in a group show at Shadow’s Space art gallery in Philly.  Shadow’s Space is the sister gallery of Fuse gallery in NYC and I am pretty excited to be showing there.  The group show is called “Paper Trails” and it is curated by NYC graffiti icon Chris “DAZE” Ellis.  DAZE and I collaborated on some work for a show a long time ago and I was really glad he thought of me when curating this show.  Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make the opening on Friday because I will be in Vegas but I know a bunch of people from Philly read this site so I hope you guys check out the show. I have four 11×17 photos in it, all shot on 35mm, and they are all of girls naked in public on the streets of NYC.  They are pretty rad.

While we are here I guess I should talk a little about my trip too.  I am headed to Vegas for the weekend to shoot the Adult Entertainment Expo, the AVN Awards, the Consumer Electronics Showcase and all the goings on before and after these events for the Village Voice and the LA Weekly. I might actually skip the AVN Awards and for some reason I haven’t heard back about my CES press credentials yet but I’ll play it by ear when I get there.  I never know what the hell I am doing in Vegas but I do know that I booked a two bedroom hotel suite for myself for some reason so I am going to have some fun either way. After Vegas I am headed to LA for just over a week.  I don’t really have any plans but I think I found a place to stay and I have set up shoots with a bunch of girls. I am going to be doing some more work for the LA Weekly and hoping to shoot some random parties while I am there.  There is also a benefit for Jessie Lee on Thursday which I will be blogging about next week. I am also going to see Jessie Lee for the first time since her accident as she is finally moving to LA the day before I get there. The whole trip should be a lot of fun, a little bit relaxing and hopefully very productive.  It better be because it will be a miracle if I break even on the adventure.  Either way I will be updating DBB often while I am gone so keep coming back. Also, I will be updating my Tumblr with previews of all the crazy shit I am shooting while I am in LA so you should probably get on that.  And of course following my Twitter while I am adventuring is a fucking given.

Finally, I figured I would leave you guys with something fun.  If you have ever wondered to do the secret handshake pioneered by NY nightlife icons like Ninjasonik and The Death Set there is now a how to video which will teach you the handshake. Looks like the “Slap Slap Slap Pound Up Down Slap Snap” handshake is not so secret anymore. You no longer have any excuse not to be down. Get on it.

I have been talking shit about my Christmas Card for weeks now and you finally get to see it!  I sent out more than 250 of these for Christmas but since more than 2500 of you view this site a day I know that 90% of you haven’t seen this glorious masterpiece yet.

In 2005 I decided to make a Christmas card when I was living in Richmond, VA.  I went to my friends (AVN nominated) sex shop Taboo and bought a Christmas thong and posed for my card in just the thong and a santa hat.  When I moved to NYC in 2006 I didn’t get a card together, but the next year I decided to up the ante and put two cute girls in Christmas thongs with me.  That card seemed to be very popular.  I had a lot left over so I sent out those cards again in 2008 and 2009 mostly because I am lazy, but in 2010 I thought it was time to step up again and make everyone’s Christmas dreams come true.

I figured most people who had seen my old card would expect naked girls again and I have gained a few lbs and decided maybe a thong wasn’t my best look, so I decided to come up with a new idea.  That idea was The Fat Jew.  For those who don’t know the Fat Jew he was a musician and will soon be a TV star but for now he is just a fat lunatic who makes an excellent naked Jewish Santa.  The Fat Jew owed me some money from when he hired me to shoot him and Kid Cudi hanging out on the day that Michael Jackson died.  I figured I was never going to get paid so I told him we would be even if he posed for my Christmas card.  He was more than willing… some  would say he was excited.

So I got my self a woman’s Christmas sweater from the thrift store down the street, bought a few rolls of Christmas wrapping paper for a backdrop and called my friend Chris from Eat The Cake NYC to come help me take pictures. When the Fat Jew showed up I tossed him my thong and hat and we got to work.  I tried sitting on his lap but it wasn’t quite working. My legs looked way too big in the frame. We tried a few things and ultimately settled with me on the ground between Santa’s legs.  And yes, the Fat Jew’s balls were tickling the back of my neck for the entire shoot. We eventually tried some hilarious Home Alone style shots and then I took the camera from Chris and shot a few of the Fat Jew as solo Santa.

After the shoot I took the pictures overs to my friends at Chips NY and had them make me a lovely card.  Then I had 500 of them made, bought 80 dollars worth of stamps and convinced a really cute girl to help me stamp and label them all…. And that is how you make a Christmas miracle.

Well evidently it’s already Sunday and for whatever reason I haven’t really updated in two days and I haven’t really taken any pictures.  Well, that is not actually the case. I have shot a few naked girls and I spent all Saturday taking photos of locations for a shoot I am doing for for a Swiss watch advertisement.  But I have admittedly been slacking a little bit.  Part of that is because I got a new camera and I was waiting for a new lens to arrive, but I got that lens and now it should be time to rock.

Let’s talk about the new camera.  I got a Nikon D700 so I finally have a full frame sensor which means I can take advantage of some better lenses which would be pointless with Nikon’s DX cameras, such as the 17-35 2.8 Wide Zoom lens I just got.  I am pretty excited about that thing although I don’t normally shoot that wide so my party photos might look pretty different from now on.  I got the lens used for about $700 less that it is new and it looks like it’s in pretty good shape other than some cosmetic damage.  Now, I know most of you aren’t camera geeks and you don’t give a shit about any of that.  All this should mean to you guys is that I will probably be using my flash a little left because the D700 with a 2.8fstop can pretty much shoot in the dark and it means that my shots will be a lot wider than you are used to. Also with sharper glass I won’t need to sharpen my images so that might effect the way they look as well. But I guess we will find out in time.  It also means that if you rob me walking home from a club you can pawn my camera for more now than you could have a week ago.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way I gotta plug a few projects that don’t directly have anything to do with me but are project that I sort of worked on and I figure I should promote them.

The first is the debut of the first half of the Ruffeo Hearts Lil Snotty (RHLS) movie called “**** CAN’T WAIT.. (ANY LONGER)”.  If the name sounds weird just wait till you see it.  RHLS is a super weird clothing company and the movie is sort of a video look book for their new line. It’s a stop motion animation featuring music by Das Racist producer LE1F and noise artist Driphouse. It stars Anna Barrie from These Are Powers.  I shot three or four scenes of the 8 part series but they haven’t edited my parts yet so they won’t be in the first half of the video. But you should watch it anyway so when you see my parts it will make sense (it won’t make sense).  Anyway, the video debuts on Monday at 10PM on the World Wide Internet.  For all the details check out this magical Facebook invite.

The second thing I need to plug is a porn film. Classy right?  Well several years ago I met a guy in Las Vegas named Joe Gallant.  We had a mutual friend and we hit it off and I partied with him one night at some crazy fetish party after the AVN Awards.  At the time he was living in NYC and when he needed some people to play paparazzi in a porn film he was making about celebrity vampires he asked me to be in the movie.  The film was called Hell’s Kittens and I am an extra in it for about 2 seconds. You can see the back of my head and my camera and briefly hear my voice.  Pretty exciting. After the scene was over Joe asked me if I wanted to come back and hang out on set where they shot actual porn scenes.  I had never seen a porn being shot so I figured I couldn’t pass this opportunity up. I hung out for one evening of shooting and shot a bunch of behind the scenes shots.  Anyway, the production company that made the film folded before the movie was ever released and the only reason I even got to see it was because Joe hooked me up with a bootleg copy when I ran into him in Vegas last January.  I figured that would be the end of it until Joe emailed me a few days ago to let me know that the film had been released after all under Club Jenna in May.  He asked me to do a little plug for it on my site to get some press as they gear up for awards season.  So yeah, check out my old photos from Hell’s Kittens (NSFW) and read this write up on the release of the film.

Lastly, totally unrelated to anything I just got back some 1600 ISO black and white film that I shot recently. I posted one of the shots today on my Tumblr but I shot a few pictures at parties so I figured I would show you some of what my party pictures would look like if I was shooting nothing but black and white film all the time…

In my senior year book they had these things that predicted what all the seniors would be doing  “In 20 years…”. In the original draft of it my “In 20 years…” read “Playboy Photographer”.  The censors at my school made them change it which is good because they lacked the foresight to realize that Playboy will not be a magazine in 2019 and that they will just be pushing video content on a website and publishing stills from that.  Anyway, just 11 years later I have finally made a step towards my goal by having two photos published in Penthouse.  That give me just 9 years, or until Playboy goes under to become a Playboy Photographer. Anyway, the photos aren’t what you are probably thinking, the girls have all their clothes on.

When I was in Vegas in January I covered the AVN Red Carpet for the Village Voice and my friend Jennifer who works at Penthouse asked me for some images of Penthouse pets for an article she was doing.  The photos kinda suck, as all Red Carpet shots do, but it is still a pretty funny milestone in my life although not quite as great of one as when I  had sex with a Penthouse Pet., but career wise it’s pretty good.

Although, now that I think about it, half the article is on the previous page, so I guess you are pretty much fucked unless you want to buy a copy.

When I was in Vegas I had an amazing suite at the Hard Rock Hotel paid for by the Village Voice. It was really amazing and I wanted to do a lot of photo shoots in it. Unfortunately the Hard Rock is off the strip so talking people into coming over way way harder than I realized. I did manage to get my friend Burning Angel & Gods Girls friend Violet to come over and do a quick shoot on my sectional.  It was right after the AVN Award and her and I were both exhausted after a crazy sleepless weekend, but we managed to get a pretty hot shoot out of it. It’s pretty scandalous in fact.
