Tomorrow I head to LA for a few days to celebrate the wedding of Driven By Boredom’s own Thadd. I would tell you his full name but I can’t imagine he wants this coming up in his Google search results. Thadd is the only Driven By Boredom employee and by employee I mean he has done countless hours of work over the last decade for probably a grand total of like $3000. More on Thadd later…

Anyway, after the LA trip I head to Vegas for the AVN Awards. It should be one of the better AVN Award weekends in recent memory mostly because I have a bunch of clients. Will be working for Vice, AVN, Village Voice, LA Weekly, AVN and I am going to be shooting PG-13 stuff for Blacked.com/Tushy.com’s social networks which seems like it will be a lot of fun.

So given that I am gonna be out of town and slacking on updates, I figured I should leave you with some photos and then we can throw things over to the Road Trip Blog where I post micro updates while I am gone.

I picked these photos of Anya Amsel because I met her at AVN last year and it seemed appropriate to post them as the pre-AVN update. I met Anya through Lucy Everleigh and instantly had a crush on her. So much so that when I was at the Gathering of the Juggalos last year I booked my fight a day later and drove a few hours to Indianapolis to shoot Anya in a tremendously ugly hotel room.

Wrapping this post up I should mention that 1) Anya looks so fucking rad naked it’s almost unfair and 2) there are a bunch of extra dirty high res photos of Anya over on the Girls of DBB.

Right now I am packing up a bunch of shit so that I can leave town on the annual Vegas/LA trip I take every January around the AVN Awards. The webmaster of this very website is getting married on Saturday in LA so I am gonna go disrupt his wedding while I am out there. I got a couple shoots lined up in LA and I am taking Carter Cruise to the wedding so I am sure we will get some fun photos there too. I will be posting on here as often as I have new stuff to give you guys.

Also I just got a Leica M6 so I am gonna spend a lot of this trip shooting film and getting used to one of the best 35mm cameras ever made. I have only shot half a roll so far but it’s fairly counter intuitive. I have been shooting Nikon SLR’s for 20 years so everything seems like it’s in the wrong place. I am fairly hopeful that I am gonna get the hang of it real quick though. Should be fun.

Anyway, enough of that. Time to finish packing.

In January I met Chanel Preston at the AVN Awards. She is unreasonably pretty and seemed real cool and stuff and I somehow convinced her to let me take photos of her next time I was in LA. So of course when I got to LA a few months later she was one of the first people I hit up.

Part of my convincing her to shoot with me was that it would be the easiest photo shoot she ever did. Her argument was “porn bitches are lazy” and mine was “it will take 15 minutes and I will try not to make you move much”. Aside from me asking her to stand up a couple of times she didn’t even have to get off her couch. I think it worked out pretty well for everyone.

She was doing her nails when I got to her place and so I just started shooting while she kept doing them. I kinda have a foot phobia but I know there are plenty of you creeps out there into that thing so I took some shots of her painting her toenails before moving on to her finger nails and then attempting to get out of her dress without using her fingers. Ice coffee was also involved somehow.

In conclusion, Chanel is a total babe who makes really cute faces and I did a pretty awesome set of her in less than 20 minutes and she didn’t really have to get off the couch. High fives for everyone.

For a while I was spending hours a day going through every photo I have ever taken but at some point I stopped. I think I just got busy or something but the other day I started the project up again. The idea is to pull all my favorite images of all time into one place so it’s easier to find stuff and easier to put together some sort of portfolio page which I don’t actually have. I finally finished 2011 so I wanted to give you guys some of the highlights.

2011 was a good year. It was the first year I started working for Sailor Jerry and I got to shoot a bunch of fun stuff for them back when we were doing music festivals almost every weekend it seems. Lolapalooza, Fun Fun Fun and Voodoo Fest were some of the highlights. I had a Ryan Gosling/ Big Freedia photo go viral at Fun Fun Fun and an Odd Future set at Voodoo made national news after they attacked some photographers and I decided to defend them.

Lots of other great festivals that year including the first Four Knots festival, Mad Decent Block Party and of course SXSW. I photographed an Insane Clown Posse cruise and went to the Kentucky Derby with Prince Terry & Dances With White Girls. I was on stage for Wu-Tang and shot Slayer for the first time and spent more time with Major Lazer, TV On The Radio and the Black Lips than is reasonable. I shot Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears and I even shot a Sweet 16 party that Usher showed up at.

2011 was the year of Occupy Wall Street and I photographed the party at Ground Zero when Osama Bin Laden was finally killed.

I went on a cross country road trip with someone I had met twice. I photographed the woman that I would date for two years for the first time. I started a punk band and photographed babes in our t-shirts. I went to Art Basel and the AVN Awards and photographed a ton of naked women everywhere.

Honestly I am getting bored of writing this but there are a lot of celebrities and naked people and the general madness you might expect from my blog. Just go look at the pictures. There are a LOT of them. NSFW obviously.

NSFW Week ends with a pretty great set from Ava Dalush. Ava is an adorable British porn star that as per usual I met at the AVN Awards. I actually met her the day or two before the awards at a party around 5am where she was hanging out with my old pal Veruca James. She was just so damn cute and seemed totally down to take photos so the next day I took her back to this weird hotel I was staying in downtown Las Vegas.

We took a bunch of photos and you should look at them all. I am on 90 minutes of sleep because my air conditioner broke and the combination of heat and construction outside has made any thought of sleep impossible. The point being is that I have nothing to say but Ava is fucking adorable and you should look at these lovely photos of her.

Oh, maybe I should mention that she had her make up done for the AVN Awards but that’s not her normal look so I hope I get to get to shoot her again without all the make up. As a rule I like shooting people the way they like to look so if the model doesn’t wear a ton of make up I would much prefer to shoot her like that. None of this is important. I am very tired.

Several years ago I somehow started talking to a cam girl named Lucy Everleigh on Twitter. She was unreasonably hot and I immediately told her that I needed to take her photo. She seemed all about it but she also lives somewhere that I do not so it wasn’t an ideal situation. Years passed and in January I was in Vegas for the AVN Awards and I saw this insanely hot, familiar looking babe walk passed me but I couldn’t figure out who she was. I just kept thinking about it and I realized she was my Twitter friend Lucy in the flesh!

By the time I figured it out she was long gone so it messaged her on Twitter and it in fact was her and we talked about taking some photos. She was on a weirdly tight schedule but the night of the AVN Awards I ended up hanging out with her and shooting a few photos of her and her friend Anya on the roof of the Hard Rock. We also made plans for the next day since Lucy checked into a suite for her last night in Vegas.

I showed up the next day and the light was god awful in her room but we took a few photos on the bed before kinda giving up and I broke out my flash and she took a bath. You can make flash look pretty awesome when it hits water and Lucy is so fucking hot that I didn’t mind not shooting with found light.

The crazy thing was that some point during the day I found out she had never done a real photoshoot before. I mean she has taken a million naked photos of her self and I am pretty sure her husband has shot photos of her and things like that but as far as working with a pro photographer this was her first ever shoot. I was pretty fucking honored.

After she got out of the bath we took some more shots on the bed that were a lot more explicit than any of the shower ones because Lucy is fucking hot and it was fun. Let’s start off NSFW week with a good one! We will have a new girl post every day this week starting with the amazing Carter Cruise!

When Carter Cruise won Best New Starlet at the 2015 AVN Awards I was outside talking to a super hot cam girl instead of doing my job. I had honestly never heard of her before then but she cleaned up at the AVNs and XBiz and she happens to be represented by porn’s best agent and world’s most photogenic human Mark Spiegler. Clearly I needed to know who she was and when I googled her I noticed she was following me on Twitter. Carter was busy the whole time I was in LA except for my very last night in town which also happened to be the night of the Super Bowl. I had her meet me at Donald Glover’s Super Bowl party because I wanted to see if I could make this post extra name droppy and then we went back to my super creepy hotel room (where I had already shot Amarna Miller & Silvia Rubi) and took a bunch of photos.

I was in a horrible mood because the cheating sacks of skin and garbage known as the New England Patriots had just won the Super Bowl but Carter fucking rules and the shoot a blast. She was just laughing the whole time so I took really fun photos of her losing her shit and making dumb faces and just being a super hot babe to the max.

After the shoot we went over to Janice Griffith and Alison Faye’s apartment for some reason and I took a hand full of naked photos of the three of them because that seems like the right thing to do and then we went over to the Ace Hotel for an LA Art Book Fair after party.

By the end of the night Carter and I had become bffs and we decided we would get NSFW tattoos together. I had a flight in a few hours so the tattoos would have to wait, but  last week Carter was in New York and we got tattooed together! I actually spent my whole 35th birthday with her which was great cause as I mentioned she is awesome and hanging out with a really hot naked 20 something is the perfect cure for feeling old as fuck.

Before I get to the sexy lady photos I just wanted to mention that the memorial for DJ Jess is tonight at 7pm at Webster Hall. It is completely insane to me that the last time I posted a full set of Veruca James was in 2011. (Watch the video of that shoot here!) Since then I have taken so many photos of Veruca and she’s become a good friend but we never did a proper photo shoot until last January. And by last January I mean 2014. I shot these photos for a magazine that didn’t end up running them and I totally forgot about them until someone posted a 35mm outtake I shot of Veruca and Janice Griffith right at the end of this shoot. I realized not only had I not posted Veruca’s set but I also didn’t post the photos of Veruca and Janice together or the first set I ever shot of Janice. Clearly I needed to fix that.

So I immediately uploaded a mini app exclusive set to the Girls of Driven By Boredom of Veruca and Janice. It’s only like 15 photos but they are really fun and most of them fairly graphic. It seemed like a perfect thing to save just for the app. I also edited all the photos of Veruca and Janice so they are ready to go.

First up, as you may have guessed from the title of this post, are the pictures of Veruca James. She is responsible for some of my favorite naked photos ever. This shoot was a quick one in her hotel room during the AVN Awards so she is wearing a stupid AVN wristband and let’s just say we didn’t have a hair stylist available. Fortunately Veruca is fucking adorable and you will probably dig on these photos a lot.

Headed to New Orleans today for a mini vacation with my lady friend. My whole life is a vacation so I don’t really do relaxing very well but I am going to fucking try. I am sure I will take some photos and we also picked a terrible time to go (50 degrees and rainy all week!) but I wouldn’t expect any updates this week. 

I wanted to get something ready to go so I edited one of the last shoots I did because it was still on my computer and not a hard drive. It actually was on my camera’s memory card for a week because I didn’t shoot anything for a while after I got back from my most recent trip to LA. 

Anyway, I met these two cute Spanish porn stars, Amarna Miller and Silvia Rubi  at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Vegas. I posted the picture I took of them and mentioned on Twitter that I wanted to shoot them. They got back to me right away and a few hours later they were naked on a roof at the Hard Rock. (You can see those photos right now on Girls of DBB!)

I hung out with them a bunch over the weekend and probably took way too many photos. I wanted to shoot them again when we were all in LA the following week so they came over to my weird hotel room and we took a ton of pictures of them just fucking around.

This is one of those shoots where the quality of the photography doesn’t really matter. I was shooting with flash and they were just wrestling each other and we were all laughing and just having a weird time. It was a lot of fun and I think we got some great photos — both funny and sexy ones — that are pretty mediocre photographically. 

It actually reminds me a lot of one of my favorite sets ever, with Skin and Asphyxia (also in Vegas!). They just got high and I took random photos of them wrestling. This was pretty much the same except Silvia and Amarna had beers instead of weed. All of it really fun/funny.

This set is huge and the edit I posted on Girls of DBB is even bigger. It has 22 extra photos that are extra explicit and all of them in high resolution. That’s like a whole bonus set with nothing but vagina shots. Good times.

Okay, I edited these photos and am writing this post on a train from DC to NYC and this is getting kinda long so I am gonna go now.
