Jessie Lee’s Trashy Birthday – 9.23.11
Our old friend and DBB favorite, Burning Angel Jessie Lee moved to LA and for some insane reason actually seems to enjoy it out there. She is doing great after the car accident that nearly killed her and she came back to NYC to celebrate her birthday with her old New Yorker friends.
The party was of course held at Trash at Webster Hall and there was all sort of madness in store for her there. There was a pretty wild burlesque show featuring Burning Angel cap’n Joanna Angel doing terrible things on stage dressed as a sexy teacher. Joanna’s babelicious sister Sarah Screams did a strip tease while singing opera which straight blew people’s minds and a Michele Bachmann supporter who’s name I unfortunately cannot remember came out of the closet in the most erotically homosexual of ways on stage. All of these things were wonderful and you must see them no matter which way you swing.
On top of that my friend Loki was hosting and she is a total babe and I rolled to the party with another Burning Angel Aria Rae. Hopefully in the near future I will have sets of both of those girls on my site but who really knows…

I have no idea what that means. Joanna was driving and there were three people in the car. Unfortunately Jessie Lee was not wearing a seat belt so she was the only person seriously injured. What the Hell are you talking about?

Why are you surprised that your friend likes living in Los Angeles? Do you like it there? I ask, because it seems like you go out there quite often… I’m just curious, what are your thoughts on it? Is it just too decadent? Not fun enough? Too smoggy? Too superficial? Too intense?
I personally love the hell out of it times ten! I think there’s no place that compares… it’s bizarre for sure, but I reckon that’s why I love it. It’s an AMAZING AMAZING beast of a place.

I both love and hate LA equally. LA is often insanely boring with everyone going to bed super early so they can go do day time things or whatever people do when it is miserably nice out all the time. That being said I have had some insane nights and some of the best nights ever there.
People in LA are tremendously fake and people flake on me constantly when I am there. I am so much more of a New York person and I prefer my people to be the same way. Rude perhaps, but upfront about shit.
I think I could live in LA for a year tops but I would have to know that I would be back in NYC soon…
Just all the details about it seemed weird, not to mention that Joanna went to the AEE show shortly after while JL was practically dead in the hospital.
That is insane. Joanna was not able to be with Jessie Lee because she is not family. She also spent a ton of money on AEE and sitting in a waiting room for two days isn’t going to help anyone. I was at AEE with them and Joanna and everyone at BA was completely fucked up by the news trust me.
