As I mentioned I had 4 photos in a art party put on by the Lowbrow Society of the Arts at the McKibbin Lofts. It was a Mashup/Mixed Media themed event so I teamed up with graffiti icon DAZE to create the four pieces.  Unfortunately, I didn’t really take any photos of the art, so you don’t get to see them. That’s what you get for not coming.  After the art show there was a crazy fucking party.  A pretty rad band called Spiral Beach played and got people dancing and going nuts.  The 3 beers for 5 dollars probably helped. During their set someone got a 40oz bottle broken over their head.  The guy who did it was his friend.  It was about 105 degrees in the apartment and everyone was half naked an sweaty.  And speaking of naked, one of the artists hired a girl Revay, who I shot in a bathroom once, to hang out fully naked at the party. She put on Moon Shoes and jumped around much to the delight of pretty much everyone.  Everyone wanted a picture with her.  Unfortunately, in the Moon Shoes she couldn’t get down the stairs, so I had to carry her, which made for some pretty insane photos that will probably come back to haunt me one day.  Oh, did I mention their was a fashion show featuring the latest in party armor? I mean I didn’t even realize I was missing party armor, but now I realize I must be prepared for battle at all times.

The party was still going strong, but around 2am some kid got jumped out side by about 15 other kids and got beaten within an inch of his life by a bunch of kids with skateboards. Everyone got freaked out and due to the cops everywhere outside we broke up the party.  Still it was a crazy fucking night.  It was so hot in there that I was just sort of pointing my camera and clicking and a lot of these photos looked like shit.  I tried to fix some of them but really about half these photos are just disasters. If the party wasn’t so nuts I would probably have put up way less of these…

PS. I ran into this girl who just started a nightlife blog. She used one of my photos for her post on the party.  Of course she picked a naked one… They always do…
