Tony Silver the director of Style Wars died last week.  He and photographer Henry Chalfant created this documentary on NYC graffiti and break dancing in 1983.  People were critical of Chalfant for helping to blow up the Rocksteady Crew and commercialize break dancing.  I am sort of obsessed with old hip hop movies, and I own most of them:  Style Wars, Breakin’, Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo, Krush Groove, Wild Style, You Got Served, etc…

Anyway, thanks to this Gothamist article on Silvers death I found out that all of Style Wars is available to watch online.  I recommend it.
