I haven’t photographed an party in ages and when my friend Ellen Stagg hit me up about shooting an event for her the day I came back from two weeks on the West Coast I was a little hesitant for a number of reasons. First one is of course my back injury and doing event work is really tough, the second was that I just don’t really shoot with a flash anymore and I  knew I would need to if I was going to shoot her party and the third was that the event was to celebrate her photo making the cover of a certain magazine that once threw me into a lawsuit that I had almost nothing to do with but still cost me tens of thousands of dollars to get out of. Still, I love Ellen and I wanted to support her and as I have been going through my archives for my Vintage Driven By Boredom instagram I have been really missing shooting parties which is not something I ever expected. So I said yes to the gig and broke out my old DSLR and shot the party like I would have a decade ago. I was worried the shots wouldn’t be great so I actually wouldn’t let Ellen pay me until the end of the night because I wanted to make sure I a) didn’t fuck up and b) was able to shoot the whole thing without my back falling apart, but an hour in I realized that I still kinda knew what I was doing and I was able to take enough breaks to make it through despite some pretty excruciating pain at times. Anyway, this whole paragraph is just me complaining about stuff so let’s get into the actual party!

The party was pretty much a book signing with Ellen and cover model Laura Desiree selling magazines and signing them all night. You’d think that would be a pretty boring thing to shoot, but I knew better than that. The party was at The Museum of Sex’s event area, Super Funland which is a mix between a carnival, an art exhibit and the Korova Milk Bar from A Clockwork Orange. There is a slide from upstairs that people can take that shoots them out of what is essentially a giant vagina into the middle of the party which was honestly delightful. There was also a dancer named Ruby Quinn who absolutely killed it doing killer pole tricks and giving me something to photograph all night. Also Ellen and Laura are tremendous babes and have a lot of fun to photograph friends which made for easy work on my end. Got to see some old friends and finally met Connie Perignon who I have known via the internets for a couple of years, but never actually ran into IRL. Someone did try and fight me for absolutely no reason in the middle of the party, but honestly I kinda miss that kinda thing too. A younger me would have done some stupid shit, but I am an adult now so I just went back to taking photos. 

Anyway, the whole thing was a blast and I really appreciate Ellen and Laura bringing me out and I hope I can shoot some more parties in the future. I didn’t realize I missed it. Also hopefully I met some people that I can photograph in the future, and I only mention this as an excuse to promote my OnlyFans. Listen, a man has gotta eat. I also should mention that this gallery is once again on Flickr because my website is just permanently broken and I haven’t really figured out a good solution for that, but hopefully I will in the not too distant future, especially if I get back into shooting nightlife a little bit. At least the photos are in higher resolution over there…

Way back in 2012 I photographed Dana DeArmond at our friend Chris’ amazing apartment. The dude collects musical instruments and modern furniture and his place was perfect for a photo shoot. Dana is one of my favorite models ever so clearly we killed it. In fact we took such fantastic photos that I didn’t want to post them. I wanted to see them in print. The set really had a retro Penthouse vibe so I pitched them to Penthouse right away. They weren’t really interested so I just sat on them a while. A few months later I started working for Hustler Magazine.

This set of Dana was pretty much the first thing I pitched to Hustler but they wanted to accompany it with an interview and for some reason that didn’t happen for a while. Nearly two years after we took the photos the images were finally published with an interview in the June 2014 issue of Hustler and is probably came out the best of anything I have shot for them.

I have shot Dana before but this by far my favorite thing we have done together and it’s honestly one of my favorite shoots of all time. I don’t remember when it was that I shot these photos exactly but I do remember that the night before I shot an incredibly fancy event in LA honoring Oliver Stone. I had to wear a suit and it was pretty much as corporate of a gig as I do. A few hours later I was in a car driving to Las Vegas to shoot a bunch of strippers for Hustler Magazine. That’s sort of a perfect summation of my professional life.

There’s not really much to say about these photos except the are semi documentary but mostly posed photos of Hustler Club dancers and some of the other club employees. The club was actually open when we took these so the ones at the bar and in the club were taken with customers watching. We also took some photos outside and it was pretty freezing… not like actually freezing but freezing for Las Vegas and I am pretty sure the girls wanted to kill me.

I don’t go to strip clubs but I do have a lot of dancer friends (several that work/ have worked at this exact club) and I really want to do some sort of documentary photo project on dancers that sort of compares different aspects of the industry from feature dancers to amateurs and everything in between. I feel like the whole thing is pretty interesting so it was cool to get a shot to do a little bit of that even if most of this stuff was posed.

It’s that time of the year again! I am headed to the Gathering of the Juggalos tomorrow! I tend to have very little internet and very little time while I am there so this might be my last post for a few days (but also maybe not – trying to plan a couple updates before I leave town). You can check my Tumblr for daily updates but to hold you over until then I got a good one for you…

Last year I shot the Gathering for Hustler Magazine as a “Girls of the Gathering of the Juggalos” type of feature. I shot nude portraits of a ton of Juggalettes. I had to wait a while before posting them here because they were for the magazine and then I sort of just forgot about them. So other than the Gypsy Ninjette photos I already posted I have a TON of naked juggalette photos to still post from LAST year.

I went through all the girl shoots I have ready to go and I figured out about five or six posts worth of juggalette nudes still waiting to go up. Most of those are girls I did more involved sets with, but I also have a post featuring a bunch of girls that came to the GOTJ with the band Wolfpac. I will get all that stuff up sooner or later.

But for now, I just have everything else. I put together a gallery of a bunch of girls that I did quick shoots with. The shoot includes two girls in face paint, a girl I shot in “Lake Hepatitis”,  a girl who was selling hamburgers topless aka “Tittyburger”, a girl in a port-a-potty, a girl laying on a “Juggabaygo” and other exciting things like that. Plus, if you have the Girls of DBB app there are some extra bonus photos of Gypsy Ninjette and Chelli of Passed out Juggalos fame!

Back in January during the AVN Awards in Vegas I did some sort of photo documentary of the “behind the scenes” of the awards and the Adult Entertainment Expo for Hustler Magazine. The issue came out on Tuesday and you should clearly go buy it. It has 15 of the raddest babes in porn including a bunch of girls I have photographed before like Ash Hollywood, Veruca James, Katie St. Ives, Eve Cates and of course Skin Diamond & Asphyxia Noir and while in Vegas I shot mini shoots with Alaina Fox and Sovereign Syre that I have already published. It also features a bunch of girls I have never photographed before but always wanted to shoot like April O’Neil, Charlotte Stokely, Sasha Pain, Ela Darling and the amazing Stoya!

The shoot with Samantha Bentley and Lexi Lowe didn’t make it into the issue because of messed up paperwork.  I aslo shot Kimberly Kane for the issue but we had to cut some pictures for space so she was the first to go because she is pretty much the person I am closest to in life so I knew she wouldn’t care if she made it in or not. I was right.

Anyway, I did bigger shoots with a bunch of people that I will be posting in the future, but in the case of Stoya, Veruca, Katie, Evelyn and KK I only shot a few photos of them each so I put them all together in one gallery and decided to post it today to promote the issue. So go buy it!
